Who's say reaction is ultimately bad, if internationally it was consider bad last thing there gonna do is spoil plot. you can't seriously base expections on few 100 neogaf users. even though I'm not happy with some plot points myself I still see this selling millions and receiving game of years. While certain decision seem questionable this is 30 hour game so we are told we've had less than 30 minutes spoiled yes very key parts of the game, however there could lot of surprises. I'm still clinging the idea that Joel's not dead and Ellie just thinks he's dead but that's unlikely I no know.
For me personally if what we know is true this could be 8/10 game for rather than 10 I anticipated.

An average male is not lifting weights or even capable of throwing a decent punch. If you whiff a punch, a trained female MMA fighter is going to kick you in the head before you even get a change to react to what's coming. That's basic knowledge and you can't even debate this.
I would bet just about any MMA analysis would tell you the same thing.

Yup, some people have actual concerns too, now some tend to dismiss "concerns", but honestly how do you bring it up when you have an issue with something, are they supposed to just jump in and act as if they held the truth on everything from the get go... but, as you said, some just have an axe to grind.
Not sure what to say about this, that's probably why men are the ones going to war most of the time (also because we are disposable in therms of reproduction... if you have one men left and 2000 women the race can keep going, with the ratio inverted... well not so much).
However, that does not change that in the context of the story she is an incredibly powerful person, what I find strange is how weak the men appears to be around her... And one thing is clear, the most important aspect of a story is how it's told.

Ok, so Druckman just sealed his fate and ruined his career. He is basically using the huge success of TLOU as a Trojan Horse to push his woke agenda, and in the process, he's killing a franchise that should've been at least 3 parts. When making Part 2, they should've planned out an outline for Part 2 AND Part 3, but they decided they would go woke and "push the limits of society". He's going to lose Sony so much money and ruin a studio and a franchise. He's done.

Here's the rundown:
1. I said Nadine beating up Drake is believable because Nadine is a trained fighter and Nathan Drake is not.
2. I also said it doesn't matter if it's realistic or not because there have been movies where women are going toe-to-doe with grown men in movies. People didn't complain this much when Hit-Girl from kick ass was beating up grown men.
3. I said people complaining about Abby being masculine shouldn't matter because it's politics aren't being pushed in the story. People are mad because they think Abby overpowered Joel, when there's like 5 other people in the room with her. She also has a golf club, and that should tell you that she probably couldn't take on Joel with without help or without a weapon.
4. I'm not talking about a female MMA fighter going up against some kid, I'm talking about a grown man with no training whatsoever. In most cases, her skill will overcome her lack of strength.

Part 1 was fucking perfectly written as well. Perfectly balanced between gut wrenching bleakness & that little, essential bit of light. & it ended perfectly. How do the same people who came up with that, now think that this bullshit is ok. I'm laughing at how bad this is.

They tried with the last 2 games slowly- He wasnt allowed to slip enough girl power into 4 so they shoved it into lost legacy- but there were enough eyes on it to keep
the game on track- But the last of us was Druckman's thing from day 1 and he was given more freedom. I .... Think this is the product.

I think this game sounds horrible and I lost interest at the E3 reveal when Ellie's sexual orientation seemed to be the main focus.
That said a ton of people will still buy and love this game and for those that don't I can't see any reason why this game would have any effect whatsoever on the popularity of other linear SP or any other Sony games.

Its quite strange for me. I'm fine from both Ellie and Joel die and not against the Abbey person, but I find totally random they put a third char without any mention, no boxart, lore. Just that. Abbey will be your avatar and you'll kill the main char. I guess this for me was the letdown, not necessary 'bru is a LGBT char'. Nothing of this matter for me.
I guess is not important that both die, but instead, the way that death happens.

The game can still be 3 parts tho if indeed Ellie is still alive. She starts injecting male hormones to match up with the beast in abby and finally avenge Joel or abby finishes her this time once and for all .
