Eh, toggling a game's difficulty shouldn't affect how good a game is, nor should it affect core gameplay mechanics. At least THAT much. I felt the exact same about the game in the long run, and I played on Normal. Never cared to play through again more than once.

TLOU2 legit sounds like potentially better gameplay and worse story. 🤷‍♂️

Just like i dont watch batwoman and any other over the top hardcore woke left garbage i wont play any hardcore woke left garbage.

And believe me this is the very first time for me to do this and its about making an example.
The last i need is this shit finding its way into the gaming media and being forced uppon us like hollywood .
Also to thos saying if a story driven game is leaked and you know the story its not worth buying anymore i say i had the best time with the plagues tale. I know some of the story but most of it is told during gameplay and i never felt like aha inknew this was coming or was bored or anything.
Same would apply to this game so i dont see the problem.

Now if we talk about heavy rain yes that cunt can rot in hell. The whole game is about whos the killer and some dipshit had to spread it on the net .

Speak for yourself, I have played The Last of US 5 or 6 times, the game is awesome! and I have no doubt that the sequel will be too. This kind of games include so much detail that it is impossible to see everything the game has to offer in a single play-through.

Yes ofcourse its about Covid. Working in the studio, with al your colleges around you to directly help when you have some bugs problems and you instantly know what effect is has on the rest on the gamecode. Working together in the studio is way better to work on the bugs at home.
You must contact for help with that bugs problem wich would take more time to solve it. Cous what you do could have an impact on the rest of the gamecode.
That question was like kicking an open door😉

I completed it on whatever the toughest difficulty option unlocked at the start was. I did start a new play through on whatever difficulty that unlocked but quickly realized it just made supplies scarcer and enemies hit harder. It didn't actually change anything related to my flaws with the game. The AI still sucked, obviously it didn't change core game design like exploration, and stealth was still laughably bad.

Im all for difficulty options increasing a challenge but limiting your supplies and abilities plus amping enemy damage is just taking the easy route.

My PS4 came with the game bundled, ive tried a few times to play through again, couldn't. If you enjoyed it, more power to you.

For the record I also think it's shitty to lock the challenging difficulties behind multiple playthroughs. If a harder difficulty is the way LoU was "meant" to be played, it should have been available from the start 👍

I'd like to know how you'd be able to state that for a fact at this point in time. Do you have any data to support your assertions? What separates your kind of wishful thinking from the other kind of wishful thinking?

You're also overlooking another term of the equation. It's not just the anti-woke audience around here. The Uber woke are also rallying up and celebrating this leak as a devastating blow to Naughty Dog and their alleged malpractices. Based off on the hypothesis the leaker is a disgruntled ND employee, they are claiming this will do wonders for workers' rights at ND.

Most likely the haters or the people that want to see the game fail are there crying about that, true fans are going to play the game no matter what and will form educated opinions after playing the game.
 
I'm generally good at avoiding spoilers. Hopefully no one on GAF is a dick and starts posting them in random threads.
Also I guess I'm in the minority here but I enjoy the gameplay in both Uncharted and TLOU. They don't have the deepest and most amazing gameplay in videogame history but I'm definitely there for more than just the story.

This was done to cause maximum damage before Xbox reveal their new games in a couple of weeks.

PlayStation should be buying studios and publishers like crazy to reinforce their position..... big ones like Capcom, Bethesda or Square. Doesn't matter if it costs 20 billion..... that is their future they are securing.

It's the quality of acting and dialog and world building that made the first Last of Us so good. The story is pretty B-Tier zombie end of the world stuff but the execution is exceptional. I'd expect part 2 to be no different, and even better. Be willing to bet the game is so good that after a first play through, many will immediately start again (even though we know the 'story').

Point being knowing the story will not make the experience any less amazing, and no amount of leaky online assholes can't spoil that.

Can't wait till June!

I enjoyed gameplay on both but easily take tlou over uncharted.

MS has a culture of bullying other companies out of the space their in, they were brought to the supreme court for it by the government..... theres loads of videos about it. They are one of the scummiest companies to ever exist.....
They probably are behind it in some capacity but it is speculation on my part. (based on their history)

Even setting up the Initiative beside SSM was a really scummy underhanded move... they can't cultivate their own talent at all.
 
Whilst I don't condone whoever leaked all the story footage, they have done me a solid. There was no way the gaming press would have called the story out for what it is, pure woke pandering trash.

I'll spend that money on some anime tiddy games instead.
 
I really feel bad for them. I guess they just need to be careful with marketing material and make sure the game is as polished as possible upon launch.

No doubt in my mind that when everyone actually plays in June, it will be huge and a hit.

The game will sell because it's a sony game, a sequel to one of the most popular games last gen, with a mass marketing campaign. There's no way the game won't sell well. Doesn't make the complaints any less valid.

You make the claim, you provide the evidence. Your inability to back it up doesn't preclude the fact the game can nevertheless end up being a best-seller. I'm not claiming it won't . I'm saying two sides are celebrating the leak, for very different reasons, and are likely to play an active role in spreading it. Whether it'll have a discernible impact remains to be seen. Asking for data is not the same thing as asserting the contrary, that the game will undersell. As for talks of perma-bans, let's wait till you're a mod, ok?

I had a lot of fun with TLOU and I'm sure many others did too.

You can have fun gameplay, great graphics and a great story. TLOU has all that in spades. You don't have to restrict yourself to just fun gameplay.

I legit don't understand why people think the difficulty setting affects these games, it largely means you have to shoot fatty longer because he doesn't die as quick. You're still sitting on your ass behind cover. The only case where it does make a difference is grounded mode.
