Billionaires are getting bored of this now get back to work
I hope our future generations won't have to live in a post-CV world where there is never actually a normal. Can you imagine kids growing up only knowing things like social distancing and self isolation/quarantines. Being raised not to hug or shake people hands and always stay 2M away from them. Are we going to see a start divide where we will be like back in my day we went to baseball stadiums with 40K people there. We didn't have to wear masks everywhere. We didn't have to self isolate every winter due to Covid season. Most of us didn't work from home and went into office buildings with 100's of other people.
Who knows, if CV is here forever it could be true. Even with a vaccine it may be a world where we don't know who has been vaccinated, that not everyone will be able to get vaccinated or that the vaccine like FLU vaccines could be as low as 55% effective.
Are children going to grow up in a world that shuns human contact and physical and social closeness? Ya I know we will have a vaccine in 12-18 months and then the world will go back to normal like nothing happened. I hope so. I hope that in the future we can just be like normal again and not have to think if we are a Shaq away from every person we meet and if CV is on every door knob we touch.

Can Lava Kill The Coronavirus? An Investigation
I was recently asked, via email, if lava can kill the new coronavirus. It can, but there's a good reason why no-one is using it in the fight against the ongoing pandemic: nothing else would survive the encounter with molten rock either.www.forbes.com

Former GOP chair blasts Newsom's broad stay-at-home order: California too big for 'one man to try to control'
Former chairman of the California Republican party Tom Del Beccaro pushed back on the state’s stay-at-home order on Wednesday saying he thinks “things are going to unravel” for Gov. Gavin Newsom.www.foxnews.com
This is 100% accurate. There are sheriff deputies in some of the Eastern counties where the numbers are low who aren't enforcing it, and are even going into small "non-essential" businesses that are opening against Pelosi's nephew's edicts and instead of shutting them down they're paying for their services.
Pelosi's nephew likes to think he's a king of his own "Nation State" but reality is going to hit him in the head soon. Even some of the Western states that he entered an agreement into to open are wanting to open before him, which will piss off those states when he'll tell them no.
It'll be interesting to see when the spike happens.
Please let Trump suggest ingesting lava just for the media meltdown.

Coronavirus: Pub customers hid in cupboards during raid
Police raided the Pitsmoor Hotel in Sheffield after reports it was still serving customers.www.bbc.co.uk
People are still social distancing and using PPE. On their own. Without government laws forcing them to do that. Shocking for you, I know.
Just waiting for Donald to mention lava and the accompanying media meltdown with people jumping into active volcanoes.
Crazy to me that someone has 200 post in less than 15 days! And all being disagreeing with most of the thread.
But if 15-20% had it, around 3-5% of the infected would be in serious condition and need ventilators. That would be around 50,000 to 80,000 in intensive care, which should overtax the hospitals. Yet some sources say the hospitals aren't overtaxed, some even say they're barely taxed.
UK figure for today is 445 deaths in hospitals. That is a substantial improvement in mid-week figures.
UK started adding care home figures today to the general figures which makes the total toll around 750.
I do cynically wonder whether they chose to do that now as the rate is dropping to keep people cautious, knowing most will only read the top line figure
Not good at all and this is only going to give people reason to blame Jews for this virus. The orthodox community has been a sore spot with this virus. Its the same thing in Israel where the hot spots were in the Orthodox communities and they were the most resistant to social distancing measures.
3-5% would need ventilators if the virus was as deadly and dangerous as the initial reports said, and what this government strategy of quasi-lockdowns was based on. It's just not the case though, and I think we have learned that over the past month.
Now that we are seeing more and more antibody tests come out, it's striking how consistent they all are, which of course makes intuitive sense.

Also keep in mind that a lot of doctors are now saying vents are actually killing people.
In NY if you hit a vent its basically a 80-90% chance of dying. The ventilator concern may have been totally misjudged and its possible it is doing more harm then good.
I thought the same tbh. Good numbers though, we're heading in the right direction.UK figure for today is 445 deaths in hospitals. That is a substantial improvement in mid-week figures.

Can I ask a small favour to those dropping videos : can I have a TLDR summary of the video's content and provenance, maybe even your own thoughts on it?
For my video.
Looks like we are seeing blood clotting in cases. Testing for blood clotting is difficult and can introduce other complications. So some doctors might just have to make a choice of to treat or not with blood thinners.
Just some more signs that this virus has a lot more tricks up its sleeve.
Time stamped it, but interesting study being presented by Dr. Campell.
Genetics could play a roll and Viral load as well on how sick you get.
I always thought that how much virus you get depends on how bad the disease gets.

For all the talk about extended quarantines and stuff, I honestly don't think it will matter. In my area, people have begun going back outside again and just resuming normal life even though lockdowns have not been lifted. The weather is getting nicer and warmer. Grocery stores even have a lot more stuff in stock now, because people are less panicky. People in the summer won't be able to resist going outside and are just gonna say fuck it and start going out, and if enough people do it I'm just not sure what the local governments can do. Police can't arrest everyone.
Just hope it doesn't lead to more spikes.
