That's exactly my point, they went from 5k to 22k in 2 weeks.Hmmm thought they had 22K infected ?
Death toll just haven't started climbing, as most victims suffer for 3+ weeks.

It is a simple answer really. They silence/kill/expel anyone who shows symptoms and leave 1 person alive with it who is a higher up in the CCP.![]()

I don't knowWhats the robot at the end UV lights or heat?
Russia in the same boat IMO they should have more deaths than they are reporting guess we will see if any more people fall out of 3rd story windows hahah
Dr Campbell on HCQ. Didnt watch yet so will be interesting to see what he says.
seems like the data sucked and new paper saying it doesn't work

There is a much simpler explanation guys: lockdowns FUCKING WORK. Mkay? See: Germany, South Korea, Australia, Austria, Switzerland for reference. Pay close attention to "actively infected".
There is nothing extraordinary about much harsher lockdowns working even better.
(And I'm keeping fingers crossed for situation in Germany not to explode, after the recent major loosening of screws)
Of course it should and of course it's not just people distancing. It shouldn't. The most important benefit of lockdowns you already got is that social distancing is drilled into most peoples heads.

Going out for anything, but food? => higher chances of catching virus
Locked at home, can't even go out for a walk? => smaller chances of catching the virus
Locked at home can't even get out to get food? (China) => close to zero chances of spreading the virus
The whole "distancing" is ridiculous.

The context of this discussion is people wondering how could China have better R0.
Whereas I'd be shocked if China did not have a better R0, given how much more restrictive it can go and had gone.
As for whether R0 will raise, after dropping restrictions - there isn't anything to argue about, it definitely will.
Whether it would get to 1 and beyond, and if yes, how far, is the question.
Robert Koch Institute in Germany estimates that we are now at 1.1, still pretty cool in my books, but anyhow, it's just an estimate.
China does not include asymptomatic cases in its official tally of confirmed infections.
Here are some numbers for some people that still doubt the sevreness of this disease:
Difference in Numbers of Deaths in some Italian regions between March 2020 and the average from 2015-2019
Brescia:
1385 ( Avg. 2015-2019)
4450 (2020) +290%
Cremona:
496 (Avg. 2015-2019)
1999(2020) +391%
Lodi:
264 ( Avg. 2015-2019)
1056 (2020) + 370%
Bergamo:
1180 ( Avg. 2015-2019)
6238 (2020) + 567%

Hope this will stop people claiming this diease isn't serious.

I noticed a lot of people complaining about the anti-lockdown protests in the US, but a twitter thread I was looking at showed Germans out in even greater numbers at a number of different locations. They were practically shoulder to shoulder, too.
Looks like they're ready for concerts and soccer/football matches to restart.![]()
A bit of a confusing address by Boris Johnson regarding the next stage of the UK's COVID19 response. Clarity is needed.
It does leave him open to the kind of media/political criticism to be expected - however those that are shouting loudly are those who also had a go a few weeks ago saying that there needed to be such a plan.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
It did feel like a rush job. The slogan is not great, and the instructions need more detail. There are going to be many confused workers wondering whether to go to work tomorrow.
In terms of changes, the unlimited outdoors time is actually a huge change. Now you are allowed to sit in a park bench or lay down for a tan as long as you are distancing.

Interesting study about zinc
Heres a twitter thread looking at the study. I dont know if what this guy is saying is true or not but what he explains is that since this looked at intubations and death it combined them both that skewed the results. If you look at deaths only HCQ group did better than non HCQ group.
In the end i remain sceptical on HCQ. If it was something that really worked i think it would be green lit by now. Unless people really hate Trump that much that they would bury a drug on a world wide scale. All though outside the US the drug isnt convtroversial and is being used so i am confused in the end.
Add this to the fact that some Celebs are completely loosing their minds and telling people to question everything and everybody and you get this fucking mess.
I can go fishing from Wednesday! YAHOOOOOO
Seems that way. Does that mean I can travel anywhere in the country now by car, as long as I maintain social distancing at my destination? If so a holiday is in order.
Not sure if you can holiday yet, but days out are OK.
I know that uk holiday letting agents like Hoseasons are taking booking from early June
I have a converted van. I’m just wondering how kindly the police would take to seeing us parked up and sleeping in it if no camp sites are open.
No, it hopefully shouldn't. Also you're going a bit extreme here. Of course staying at home has a lower chance than going out. But purely paying attention to your surroundings, social interactions and hygiene does have a massive effect already. So do masks, those things aren't conflicting they're adding up.
It's not a black/white situation. It never was. That sooooooo many people are treating it as one on either side is a concerning thing for me.
(Which by the way is visible when I not places and types of people in my country that are notorious for being distant having fewer cases. That's purely anecdotal though (its not like I'm doing a study) so you may discard this comment)
Until the Twitter people screaming "STAY THE FUCK HOME" to people are willing the pay for other people's food and house payments, they need to SHUT THE FUCK UP.
So the people screaming they want to go out need to pay for the medical bills of the people they'll help infect? Or do they need to SHUT THE FUCK UP as well?
CA isn't paying unemployement to a lot of the citizens of the state (thanks to Newsom emptying the unemployement funds for his stimulus payments to illegals). $1200 won't even pay for a month's rent in most places.
Either they let people go back to work, or you'll have millions homeless and out on the streets anyway.
About right... Nice of our government to give the prominently working class 12 hours notice to go back to work with reduced public transport and only "guidance" for work place safety.
I completely and utterly agree that most governments are fucking up when it comes to the financial side of this. It's a shit show here as well, and people are suffering.
But the "SHUT THE FUCK UP" line of logic...I don't think that's the way to go, but if you were just ranting to blow off some steam and frustration: completely understood.
No I'm getting sick of people in their ivory tower shouting at the protestors to "STAY THE FUCK HOME" when people WON'T have a home if they continue forcing people into lockdowns. Hell the cities forcing the lockdowns won't exist if they keep the lockdowns going because they won't have the tax income they need to continue existing.
So you have these virtue signalers on Twitter and other places screeching at people to "STAY THE FUCK HOME" without explaining how they're supposed to STAY IN THAT HOME without an income.
Of course then some idiot screams "cancel rent", which would never happen.
Yeah, I get you. Some folks lack perspective and basic empathy for their fellow man. If I was living the high life during this thing without having to worry about cash or food, I'd stay quiet. Not everyone advocating the lockdown is like that though, but no-one has easy answers.
