Yeah its really nice to see. But i still hope that some discussions could go a bit more mature. But pls no more mods that Ban you because you dont like something etc like on Era

theyve banned over a quarter of their members since the beginning, many more have simply left bc of their insane banning and hive mind mentality

on topic, this place is awesome. so much more fun than any forum ive been a part of. im almost concerned about it getting so big that it loses the feel it has now lol. nah jk, i trust in the powers that be. its clear the problem revealed when the reee crowd threw their great tantrum and ran away

true. i agree with that but i thought there were some stats....or maybe they are hiding them :p

i thought they meant the mods on here banned you for not liking something. on resetera yes i know that's what they do. looking at their ban site someone got banned for not liking Neil Druckmann hahahahaha

I must admit, I'm still active in both forums. Haven't gotten banned or anything.

Originally, I preferred being more active in resetera because the number of users just means there's more threads being made and a lot more to discuss. There's also the fact that news gets posted quite quickly.

I'm steadily appreciating the members here in Gaf more for posting news a lot more frequently and a lot faster than it used to be.

The reason I really returned is because there's almost a stifling air in the threads in resetera. I feel like I'm holding my breath and have to choose the words I say. Here, I can say whatever I want. Sure maybe I'll get banned but I find that the mods lets the users explain their reasoning and share the views they have first and not completely shut them down at the first sight of an opinion that doesn't align with their view. I really appreciate that and it sometimes leads to discussion that may even enlighten someone to better themselves.
 
A lot of neo members with resetera(or people coming back) attitude is the massive spike in users. Not a good thing. Whenever you see a "Neo Member" you also see "I'm offended" going along with it.
 
Although I'm not a big poster I love this site and read it daily. It's my go to for games. I also love browsing the off topic forums. Love it ❤Keep up the good work! 🤘😀🤘

I got banned on Era one time because i said that PS fans can now enjoy a good uncharted game with Rise of TR or whatever i said.

And my full permanent ban happened because some guy stalked me on Twitter and took my tweet about the MiBI Trailer to the Forums and he and the Mods claimed BS like im a sexist etc and permanent banned me.

Oh and they ignored all my Mails etc.

That guy who stalked me never got banned. He must have a sad life or something.
But whatever. On new Gaf im allowed to voice my opinion etc :)

again, i thought the post i was replying to was talking about this site. i know resetera bans people for not liking things.
 
This place was a shit hole before the mass exodus. I was banned multiple times for next to nothing. I went to try the other place and it was so much worse. Absolute shit stain of a forum full of fascists, white knight virgins, unicorn men and peado's. I'm staying away from that disaster for the rest of my existence. This place does seem way better than what it became a couple of years back. I can say things without someone tearing up and I don't have to worry about being censored. I'm a dick sometimes but we all like a dick sometimes.

I've lurked more than I post but since the "other people" left on the Hale Bopp Comet with Heaven's Gate it's been amazing.

The first thing I do every morning is check GAF. It's my most visited web forum, and that includes normie ass reddit.

I've grown to respect many of the regulars that have been here since 2017. They are hilarious, clever, sensible and intelligent people. Even if I don't always see eye to eye with their beliefs and opinions.

The mod team has been fantastic. You can't say enough about the work they've put in. Great job to everyone involved and thank you EviLore for sticking with it.
 
Certainly seems true about the reactions cutting down needless posts. Used resetera for a while and on any big news or event thread I would skip at least ten pages in to get past all the "woah" "holy shit" "well there it is" bollocks. The amount of posts alone definitely don't tell the whole story

Every ending is a beginning. This place had to burn so it could rise from the ashes to what it is now. A welcoming place for different viewpoints without the PC bullshit that has infected the rest of the internet. I thank you for it EviLore EviLore .

We have a great community here, a sane and relatively civil one where differences of opinion are welcome and people can debate with facts or memes, and we'll continue to rebuild into this new and exciting gaming generation of teraflops, SSDs, ray tracing, and VR.
