Odds we break the site tonight like the old days?
This thread must have lurkers form elsewhere Reeing hard right now.
Came here running away from reddit.
There still some problems with console wars, but that certainly beats being called white supremacist for not agreeing Mordhau is racist.
Yeah its really nice to see. But i still hope that some discussions could go a bit more mature. But pls no more mods that Ban you because you dont like something etc like on Era
Sorry to ask but what happened? Did gaf suffer a setback of some sort before?Yeah, it's good being back.
No more superstar mods is a good thing.
People were being banned left and right for petty reasons. If a mod disagreed with what you posted, you could get perma-banned immediately, with zero chance for appeal or anything.Sorry to ask but what happened? Did gaf suffer a setback of some sort before?
Wait, I was dumb and missed someone, lol.
Thank you toGromph and everyone behind-the-scenes of the tech and features of Gaf. You guys are a little more invisible, but your effort is something we appreciate every day!
They will destroy themselves from within. I used to go there all the time, now I will check it once a week for gaming news, then i realize there is no gaming news its only social issues in gaming news. I cant be bothered with that, i want to know what games are coming and when, not "well a trans black women created this game so lets all buy it"Can we just have a war with Resetera to settle this? I cant be bothered jumping between both forums.
Evilore is slow at figuring out who are the racist bigots. One day he will figure it out, lay down on his knees and beg for forgiveness for the dangerous speech he enabledI posted the same thing here and on ResetERA.
Here, EviLore liked and quoted.
There, i was banned.
I'm fine with this.
You're welcomeThe best, most fun place on the internet ascends.
Thank you to everyone with a hand in creating it, fromEviLore who has now twice built an amazing forum from scratch, to our hard working and fair moderators, to all the posters that contribute awesome content, and especially everyone who helped build it back up again in darker, less clear times.
Basically everyone here is awesome, and we've all built something truly special together.
Is it coincidence that the numbers keep going up since the Nationals won the World Series.
Do you see a lot of old timers coming back? (If you can even measure this)Around 45k posts per day, and concurrent user counts somewhere north of 10k.
The reaction system has definitely cut down on noise posts, though. We're averaging over 15k reactions per day, and many of those would be "this" and "yeah" posts otherwise.
I remember when it was impossible to get an account on NeoGaf... I applied a ton of times and kept getting denied... no idea why. Glad it's not like that anymore.
Did you use a public email? I remember we had to use work email before.I remember when it was impossible to get an account on NeoGaf... I applied a ton of times and kept getting denied... no idea why. Glad it's not like that anymore.

(ignore the April dip, technical reasons)
What a recovery: from a little more than 500 posts per day to over 6000 posts per day, and from an average concurrent online user count of 2600 to over 4000 (with many times more members online).
We have a great community here, a sane and relatively civil one where differences of opinion are welcome and people can debate with facts or memes, and we'll continue to rebuild into this new and exciting gaming generation of teraflops, SSDs, ray tracing, and VR.
Thanks for being a part of NeoGAF.
Okay, who let NoobleBear in? We have one rule here, and that's to never let in NoobleBear.
Agreed. It's why I only lurked before the great reboot. It's so much more friendly and welcoming to sign up and get started now. Being able to add my voice to Gaf has been wonderful.
shutitYou have been given a second chance. Don't let it go to your head.
Nope, it was always a work email (it was a unique URL not a freebie like gmail or yahoo) was it maybe industry only at that time or something?Did you use a public email? I remember we had to use work email before.
