I'm curious, what are the demos on gamepass? is it just the game that is released in episodic form?... I'd be fine with it if we still received Half-Life 2 episodes on a somewhat regular basis.
I'm trying to figure out what he calls demo pass.

Naw, I am talking about games like Anno, Age of Empires, BotW, mod driven Skyrim, minecraft, rimworld, persona4, monster hunter, Total War, Xcom, smash, rocket league, diablo, binding of isaac, spleunky, minecraft, civilisation, or even something like Kingdom Rush games.

Multiplatform games will look better on XSX. How much better ? We don't know yet.
But best looking GAMES will be exclusives. And even on 12 TF machine, MS exclusives won't look as good as SONY EXs on 9 TF, RDNA1, 2019 PS5.
And no PR-shit talking from Phil,Aaron or other talking head will change that.
Their studios are in pre-dev meaning that we will see their games launching at best in 2022/2023, and they can TRY to compete with SONY. And even then i think MS studios lack of skill and vision. They are not in the same league as SONY. MS can compete with Ubisoft or Bethesda .

Now that we've seen both events (actually two from MS), it's pretty clear that Sony is much better prepared this time. They have games further along in development, they didn't have to sacrifice support for the PS4 to do it, they even have the better exclusive deals.

XSX is more than likely custom, AMD is ditching any die beyond 36-40CU as it's going for 3D stack. Another reason that might suggest that the XSX die will cost even more?

You laugh but I'm laughing for not crying. The damn MS conference has cost us all $ 50 or maybe more.
We have run out of PC games from MS because now the important thing is to fill an AA-based service.
This is all very unfortunate. I hope that we can curb all these company policies before the AAA's end up disappearing.

Bo, both chips are custom. Sony saved the die space for I/O and MS went full in GPU compartment, now trying to PR-talk velocity architecture being on the same level as PS5 solution.
Honestly I'm almost sure that XSX is capable of delivering same or better graphic fidelity as PS5.
Funny thing - saying that XBOX ONE WON'T HELD BACK XSX GAMES - it's true when you won't deliver crossgen games in crossgen period xD

You have a beautiful country BoIt came right during early monsoon season, so it's not problematic although they were a lot. It could be devastating if we tend to be dependent on local wheat which is a small percentage of what's sold locally that's mostly imported from Asia, mainly rice though. Rice/wheat/corn are pretty weak against such flocks but we moved on from depending on those locally, rice was a rarity to be farmed here though but most farms are coconuts, bananas, and other tropical fruits.

PS5 having better, more customizable ray tracing capabilities have been rumors and stated for over a year. As a matter of fact ps5 have better almost everything besides gpu and a cpu tht is almost identical to nextbox has always been the rumors.

That's in Saudi Arabia, I think. Every country has something somehow different, but a camel per big plate is overwhelming and it's a rare thing even in KSA and it only results massive wasted food or not 100% clean leftovers for the poor. Around 10-15 years now we've mostly shifted to buffets and it's much better to minimize food waste and provide clean food for the poor as weddings have people in hundreds and sometimes thousands depending on if you're socially active/known. It's funny that some tourists come and eat then try to pay thinking it's some kind of a traditional restaurant, of course anyone can come and eat and go during weddings/funerals.

Too many holes in the whole story and would love one day to sit down with a Greek historian and connect the dots.

Then you were not paying attention. Were would the games come from? Sure they could buy WB or something but even that wouldn't solve much and would require massive investment for a company that seem convinced that GaaS and moderate budget games are the future.
They just bought those studios 2 years ago and most had projects they were already working on (some still yet to release). 343i, The Coalition and Rare are what they are. What we saw is what they have for the foreseeable future.

I don't understand how Microsoft could be behind in the development curve unless they had ended up having to scrap the XSX they were delivering and start from scratch? I mean, both companies have been targeting holiday 2020 for some time now. Are there any rumors or solid information that MS had to do this? I mean it kind of sounds like how some people had spread the rumor that SONY had to scramble and get things moving because the PS5 was initially a 8TF box and when they found out MS was 12 they had to "do something." THAT rumor was obviously BS and I haven't heard anything like that about MS, but I don't know how they could be behind the curve with the XSX unless something like that DID happen to them. ??

I think some of the same things will hurt Xbox exclusives like not being able to get closer to the metal because your games have to run on so many different things
A rumor mentioned that Sony updated their API even more for the PS5. You can get so much more from the hardware when you don't have to worry about it running on alarm clocks
