I've met people before who claim to have never even had a cold, and I think they are full of shit. Unless there are actual people who don't catch colds?

I always thought everyone in the world had it at some point. Who knows.

Sniffles and coughing sure but that rarely happens and never to the point of being bed ridden.
I have never missed a day of work in my life from them

I coughed and sniffed but I never had a proper cold. I knoe people who can't get out of their bed when they have a cold. Bunch of weaklings imo.
I honestly never had a cold. Like I sai, maybe a runny nose and some cough but that's about it.

I haven't gotten sick in 2 years as of now. What I do worry now that if I get the cold, my mind will go ape shit thinking I have the virus now.

What's your lifestyle like? What do you eat? Do you sleep enough? Do you play any sports? What climate do you live in?
Active. I skate and play tennis/bball. Played sports my whole life pretty much, also taught tennis for the past 15 yrs so active job. I eat healthy, not really any junk food (wings tho, so good). I've lived in VT, CA, NC, SC.

Man, that sounds like the perfect, healthy life right there. Very inspiring :)

You could believe this, or you could believe that the average person is stupid enough to have already forgotten the cold they had 2 years ago so they go around telling everyone that they've never had a cold.

Could also be their immune systems being great so if they did get a cold it's very mild and they don't even notice it.

I think that counts as a cold. Well, in my definition anyway.

: an acute disease of the upper respiratory tract that is marked by inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nose, throat, eyes, and eustachian tubes and by a watery then purulent discharge and is caused by any of several viruses (such as a rhinovirus or an adenovirus)

Yes many times but not recently.

Worse I ever had was the flu back in 2002 or 2003. I was bedridden for almost two weeks and could barely even walk. It was right at Christmas time too so I couldn't hang out with any friends, etc.

I was so sick I couldn't even go online on my PC. I shit my pants more than once. I was stuck just listened to talk radio, Coast to Coast AM, Michael Savage yelling about liberals and Christmas music.

Never to this day have I been that sick. I imagine this is what having Covid is like.

Haven't really been sick for the last 10-15 years.
On the odd occasion, maybe once a year at most I've had a slightly runny nose for a day max.
My wife gets sick plenty so I'm probably just a carrier.

Must just affect people differently if I get the common cold I usually take 1 day off when it hits it's peak as it makes me feel real rough. Maybe I need a better diet I pretty much live of butter. I did get the legit actual flu with a side of chest infection once and was potatoed for a month, the flu is no joke!

not even aids?

doc: I have a good and bad news for you.
you: Please give me bad news first.
doc: You have AIDS.
you: Oh, what is the good news then?
doc: You also have cancer which should kill you before AIDS does, so no need to worry about AIDS.
you: That is indeed good news doc :messenger_loudly_crying:

true story

I heard that men have stronger immune responses than women so they feel illness much more intensely than women. So basically if you've never felt a cold you're a soy boi.

Really makes ya think.

One time about 7 years ago, I contracted a virus that gave me a fever for 10 solid days. It went up to 105! at one point. 105 fever is not something I wish upon even my worst enemy. Ended up in the emergency room. I imagine that's what malaria feels like.

That was probably the worst I've ever been sick not counting food poisoning.
