He will be forever immortalized thanks to Michael Jackson.

RIP.

There was nothing like popping in a cassette tape of the latest Van Halen in the #80s as a kid and playing air guitar along with Eddie's riffs. Rest well and thank you Eddie :messenger_heart:

Reading this sucks. The intro to Ain't Talking Bout Love is probably my favorite riff of all time
Rip to one of the greatest to pick up a guitar ever

RIP
Well this fucking sucks. Another rock legend joins the great gig in the sky.
Here's some EVH shredding while a robot smahes things.

Absolute Titan of a guitarist. VH songs are full of cool guitary stuff and have aged supremely well considering their intricacies.

Ain't talking bout love, summer nights, Jamie's cryin and dance the night away are all bangers.

rest in peace EVH

Wow. Was not expecting that. He wasn't that old. Didn't he battle cancer and beat it? RIP
Says he battled cancer for a decade. Moved from his throat to his brain finally.

Risk factors
Factors that can increase your risk of throat cancer include:

  • Tobacco use, including smoking and chewing tobacco
  • Excessive alcohol use
  • A sexually transmitted virus called human papillomavirus (HPV)
  • A diet lacking in fruits and vegetables
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

There's no replacement for Eddie Van Halen as a guitar virtuoso. The guy was unique. He was an ace on playing guitars.

We all lost.

Get fucked, cancer. And with extreme prejudice.

Such a waste that they couldn't all put their differences aside and make something of the last couple of years of his life.

if there was a friendly, innocent, cartoonlike heart to rock n roll, Valen Halen was it. imo they are right up there with the Ramones as rock icons of Pure Fun.

Cool to see some love for Van Halen III, hands down their most hated record but it has some bangers like Fire in the Hole and I appreciate it.
Indeed. I guess the main gripe those people had against Van Halen 3 was that it was not DLR, not even Sammy Hagar anymore, it was Gary Cherone's soul being put in it instead. Still at the end of the day it was Van Halen at its heart and that's what mattered the most imo.

I also liked "Without You" and "One I want" from that same album. And ofc "Year to the Day".
