Now tell me how the one about "GRADIENT ADJUSTMENT FOR TEXTURE MAPPING TO NON-ORTHONORMAL GRID" resembles Sampler Feedback Streaming at all.

You can do the same about "Fragment shaders perform vertex shader computations" and tell me how that's in any way similar to what mesh shaders do. Those are completely different stages in the pipeline.

And finally how come a "Scheme for compressing vertex shader output parameters" is enhanceing mesh shaders at all? Those are also completely different stages in the pipeline.

Back compatability would be my guess. But he def says 'and not talking about platform comparisons, there will be surprises', so thsat would even rule out BC i suppose. It would rule out load times as well, but we already know they will be faster on PS5 sanyway so it wouldnt be a surprise

Wow. That's extremely impressive. Compared to the Pulse headset audio clip I've heard, the mic in the controller sounds much closer to a professional mic. I figured it would be the other way around.

In the game informer video interview the director mentions that they have the original demons souls running on a PS5 for comparison/testing purposes. I really hope they release this at some point, i mean i know everyone would rather play the remake but it would be nice to go back to the original for fun. I always hoped the original wouldnt be trapped on the PS3 forever.

Most mics are mono. It's expected from the mic built-in into the controller. Stereo is not really needed for its purpose.

yep. i noticed that too. the PS5 should be able to do physics calculations even after they fall on the stairs and fall down instead of just disappearing like its a PS4 gpu or something.

Physics are unaltered on the remake.

In defense of DF, and you already know I'm not their biggest fan, because of the PS5 and XBX dimensions, PS5 can be perceived as heavier in hand, depending on how you hold it.

I can understand that just looking at the box but not after holding them.

ITs parity that xbox users have been looking for, if ps5 reaches this when xbox has all that extra power and ( FULL RdNA2 FEATURES COUGH) this is a massive win for PlayStation, in fact its game over.

12 tflops vs 10 means ps5 is by far the better machine, no one can not argue it.

IMO PS5 will win most multiplatforms comprido on either in graphics and/or performance.

Yeah. All of the footage so far has been performance mode, which looks incredible, but my first playthrough is definitely going to be fidelity mode for all of those juicy lighting effects and overall quality.

I did think the lighting looked a little flat in the recent trailer.

I was hoping that by halving the resolution they could double the frame rate but it seems not to be.

To me, it sounds like he's talking about no direct game comparisons or not direct loading times comparisons, etc.
He's probably talking about some unannounced features. Are these features software of hardware related? well, we don't know but that's my take on their statements.
