CDPR already censored posters a year ago after ResetEra and Twitter sperged out about transphobia. They also removed genders from the game entirely to appease the woke crowd. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of censorship involved in Cyberpunk.

If they're trying to "appease the woke crowd", then they utterly failed. Resetera recently locked all Cyberpunk-related threads for a day to protest CDPR's supposed transphobia, and they're planning on doing it again on release day. FFS, imagine a video game forum intentionally banning all discussion of the most anticipated video game of the year on its release day.

Also disappointed to see that poster censorship. Hopefully that won't be present on the PC version.

I'm afraid that's the price we pay for all the technical and graphical improvements we've seen in gaming recently. All that detailed artwork and animations isn't going to spring into existence by itself. Star Citizen is approaching eight years in development and still no release date in sight.

Apart from the fact that I feel dumber already by having lurked in there for half and hour, other than that pinned thread filled with tinfoil hat stuff and accusations without any basis or evidence or even logic for that matter, what's even more laughable is how in the threads regarding the game where gamers discuss things normally and yeah are even hyped about the game, just like in here, these losers post at least once a page to remind us why CDPR is so bad.

Probably a bad choice for the dude, but considering the non-sense other game companies put on their twitter, it's not bad. For sure. But I also don't think CDPR is actively trying to "please" a certain mob. The most employees probably don't even know Resetera extists, let alone visting the site. They are literally competing with Rockstar for sales, so it's logical they make a game which 99% of the population has no issues with. The 1% of the population (prob most of ERA) being offended? In the large picture this doesn't actually matter that much business-wise.

To be fair. The original trailer was really little more than a CGI announcement of them having acquired the IP. They hadn't really started on the game proper until after that in terms of fleshing it out etc and Staffing up. So it was very much embryonic for quite some time.

Assuming the game is successful (which all indications are it's going to be) it's unlikely to take nearly as long to come up with a sequel now the heavy lifting of the worldbuilding etc has been carried out. Albeit they've promised a couple of substantive DLCs for CP2077 (which I dare say are in development), I wouldn't be surprised if they are already in the preliminary stages of working up a full follow up title, at least in terms of the plotline.

I’m telling you that forum is not representative of even the most extreme of my friends in the real world NYC theater community - which is about as extreme left as you get.
