Misrepresent criticism as being a function of your political alignment rather than your personality and rhetorical methods (never mind the fact that we have plenty of leftists who engage just fine because their arguments don't revolve entirely around Orange Man). In any case, beyond the attempts to make this this about myself and not the situation of the forum, my point stands that the politics subforum has become, as you put it, hostile.

Is and 3 others going to get resurrected? Thought his posts in here on the matter were pretty good. It definitely can be a tough line to straddle when you're devil's advocating a theoretical idea and actually advocating for something. To some of us it looked like a suggestion that animated violence was equivalent to animated CP but with that post explaining I think it's good he's getting reconsideration.

Bitmap Frogs Bitmap Frogs no one likes the persecution complex in the ban thread, it's a bad look when SONY/XBOX warriors do it and it's a bad look for political folks. Biden won and EviLore EviLore himself has said there was no fraud and Biden will be Prez, even to the point of kicking Compsiox Compsiox out of the politics section. Doesn't sound to me like the right wing echo chamber you believe it to be, but then your best evidence seems to be people posting memes in troll threads?

Receipts required. I highly doubt based on the track record of moderation here that someone genuinely threatening bodily harm to another poster would be swept under the rug.

So either it never happened, or is being blown out of proportion by you for fake sympathy.

Do you actually believe that? If leftist/progressive posters could stop consistently trolling and actually present a logic-based argument, they would have no problem easily fighting back in any thread they wade into. I certainly don't agree with some of the regulars on here, and feel no real pushback when I go against the grain in a thread. Who cares if people don't agree with you?

If you and a few others were actually the great persuaders of "the left", then anyone who argued differently would get stomped, looking foolish as they did so. If your arguments were unimpeachable, then their weak strawman attacks or "trolling" wouldn't do a damn thing, and your argument would stand.

Instead we get a new crop of disingenuous "leftist" posters every few months, after the current crop finally cross the Rubicon and account suicide when they say all the hateful, vile shit they have really wanted to say all along. The ones that seem to stick around are the ones that just throw supportive reactions to martyrs that actually say all the vile shit. Nobody is really fooled by someone like that playing coy. But hey, if it works, and is allowed, then I guess that's what a fervent ideologue has to do to fly under the radar.

Also, how can anyone on here even have the same politics, anyway? We're from all over the fucking place, and the political definitions vary so wildly from country to country that saying "left" or "right" means nothing online. You seem to get off on blanket trolling conservative US politics, for some reason, while I have no idea WTF you stand for or support within your own country.

I would like to apologize to anyone who took offense to my posts, and to the mods who I respected, even when I thought they were to harsh (my circumstances included), and i apologize for making a new account, and this one being banned soon too.

I want to thank all the cool people I'd met here, and even those who I 100% disagreed with politically, a few of which in private messages, we were able to find common ground, and it humanized them outside of me just mocking them with a few words or pictures.

And to thank EviLore for 1) opening up non-paid email signups. Due to a long list of circumstances, I never got one, and therefore was never before able to sign up. And 2) for not buckling, and not giving up, and not selling GAF when the crazies tried to burn it down. Guess I'll just go back to lurking for another 10 years.

I shall now piss off into the sunset. Pray for me that I get a PlayStation 5 soon. Auf Wiedersehen.

Your perm did feel kind of weird since from what I was reading, you weren't advocating for the creation of any kind of CP imagery. Like one guy asked you "why would anyone draw CP" which was pretty irrelevant to your post which was questioning whether someone had a right to do draw it, rather than it being morally correct in any way at all. I think it ties into some free speech type arguments / where the line is / etc. Obviously, GAF isn't a home for anything like that, but it did feel kind of trigger-happy to ban you for that without a warning of any kind.
 
I hope Yuri Normus stays, or mods allow to stay. He's a good guy in my books who looks like got too heated.

I didn't read in depth all that crap people were going back and forth on about CP as it seemed to be fueled in a couple threads. As a whole, all mention of that stuff should be capped asap.

It's always hilarious to me when a group of people feign innocence when a wrong was done. "Who backed their truck into the side of the building?"....Absolute silence from everyone in the room, knowing someone in the room had to have done it. Sometimes I will confess, even though I didn't do it, just to amuse myself and the guilty party.

Anyway, I will confess to the crime of threatening poor Bitmap Frogs Bitmap Frogs with images of violence this summer. Pretty sure he is referring to this picture.

And I don't mind being pushed and prodded. (Obviously. Because I am still here) But man that was a really bad topic to try to argue for. Push me on pretty much anything if you want, but picking something that is so black and white and so against the rules (and the law) was just a really odd choice. It obviously (and apparently inadvertently) painted you in a bad light. If you truly have no interest in trying to defend child pornography no matter it's form and you were just try to push my buttons on a topic then I do hope that EviLore EviLore reconsiders your ban.
