Why do you like DC films then if you like good effects? Shit, the Mandolorian looks better than your average DC film. I think you really need to chill. They just movies.

This movie sounds absolutely abysmal.
Did they ever stop and ask themselves if this is a story that needs to be told or does this really have anyting to say?

Are all big blockbuster movies going to be nonsensical loud noises and flashing lights going forward?
 
Bloody hell this is on every torrent site I've ever heard of. Not that I frequent such dark parts of the internet. A friend told me. How did they think it was going to go exactly?

Edit: Is the Kristen Wiig character really just Electro from ASM2? This does not inspire confidence.

Kristen Wiig and other characters wearing glasses all have green screens or monitor reflections. How the fuck did somebody not catch this?

Yeah, this is a pretty steep decline compared to the original. The faint glimmer of hope for DC movies is fading away. Oh well.

I'd say Wonder Woman being successful is more important for DC, but I doubt they are going to attempt another Justice League anytime soon. So fuck it, bring on the insanity that will be Gunn's Suicide Squad.

I don't care what the creators said. What I saw wasn't Trump.

The males leering and making passes at the attractive women is an 80s trope. Every other guy is a creep except for the male hero and MAYBE his buddies. This was a common thing in 80s and early 90s movies. The hero was always above reproach.
 
Seems like the entire internet isn't giving WW84 the praise as the first movie. I'll get around to watching it one day. I'll lower my expectations. First move was good though except for the crazy ending where Diana is acting like a super soldier on foot for 98% of the movie afraid to get hit by iron bullets from a WWI gun, but the final battle suddenly becomes uber flying Superman god.

Considering they already consider 84 a hit and fast-tracked a third film I wouldn't worry.
 
I finished it. Felt like two different movies. So astoundingly bad. That Cheetah CGI fight was so rough. Wonder Woman is such an uninteresting character. Has nothing to do with her being a woman, but she feels completely dated.
 
They had so many missed opportunities to DC it up as well. 1984 is around the time superman or supergirl could have landed with a news story of some farm yokels talking UFOs. She could have heard about the wayne killings on the news. There could have been a Zatanna act in the mall. Diana could have known one of the living (at the time) Shazam wizards, giving Billy an in 40 years later. Hell, maybe even an early Lantern as a lunch date as she keeps tabs on EVERYONE on the planet.

Diana could be the DC lynchpin due to her immortality and divinity. Put her in front instead of Supes or Bats. But nope...
 
After giving it a few more days thought, yeah my view on this movie has declined further, there's just so much that didn't make sense and felt out of nowhere or pointless. I realise that with a lot of these films you have to "turn your brain off" but with this one it feels like you have to be suffering from memory loss.
 
I enjoyed this movie in it's own right, but I prefer the first one. One thing I really liked is how Diana/Wonder Woman herself has developed since the first movie.
 
Went in with low expectations, and some of the scenes were so-bad-it's-good entertaining (like the Ultimate Beastmaster opening scene), but the nearly three hour length....damn. Movie really dragged, felt like it would never end. CGI was also pretty dicey. Wife liked it though.

Just watched it at the theatres and enjoyed it. Certainly not the best super hero film but fun and enjoyable. More enjoyable than the first film which I rewatched a few nights ago and it felt like a slog to get through.

There are a lot of issues with the script but whatevs. I didn't see Trump at all in Pascals character and I knew people would whinge over the cat calling and homeless man being a creep.

The truck chase scene and white house action scenes were very cool and well done.

Unfortunately the flying scene didn't come across as inspiring to me as the music was the same as in Kick Ass so I was thinking about Kick Ass during that moment.

Finally, Gal Gadots acting has improved significantly in this film, she was great all round.
