My friend and i watched it for about an hour, and we decide to not continue after a break. It was awful, period. While not one of my best movie, the first one was way better. This one was absolute thrash. Reading all comment here, will never bother watching the rest.

The movie is legit bad, not even camp fun territory. Remember when Thor Ragnarok hit and "80's" was code for crazy colors, over the top bombastics, thorough disregard for any kind of attempts at grounding things into reality and kick ass synth music?

Well, WW84 took the wrong lesson and it's actually a period piece set in 1984. It's sappy, poorly written and poorly directed. Hell, like any shitty 80s movie worth its salt it has a fish out of time subplot and we get to waste valuable minutes watching Chris Pine act bewildered at technology.

I’m 30 minutes into the movie and is the tone supposed to be akin to cheesy 80 films and sitcoms? Cause it’s seriously weird but I don’t hate it lol

That was some really bad green screen CGI throughout the film. It looked really cheap.

The action also looked like a step down compared to the first one.

My wife liked it, kinda, but I didn't.

Is it dumber than the first movie? I feel like the first movie mostly got hyped for having a female director, but I couldn't take it seriously when it had a "shop-for-a-new-wardrobe" montage.
But what if it was a MAAAAAANNNNNN shopping for clothes? Change your mind???

Just watched it, it felt all over the place, good music though, but very dumb in places too. Also not seeing the "Trump" connection, the character was a basic power hungry 80s con man trope, so if you're seeing Trump in that well, it isn't a good sign. Also not seeing the "man hating" thing considering the main thing that spurs Diana on constantly is a MAN. The movie is very stupid in a lot of places but it doesn't need fake outrage attached to it. Lynda Carter at the end was a nice touch though.

This movie is very long. 2.5 hrs?? 🤨

Seems like a decent family movie, nothing more. Got bored and had to stop.

This is,an interesting movie, pretty good and i was entertained, villains are cool.

However i have mixed feelings on the plot and its themes,i thought the whole movie tone changed a lot after diana suddendly decided to go to el cairo (?)after max And basically the message of the whole movie is Diana and Max learning to be less selfish and leave the past behind, you don't need 2 and a half hours of convulted events for that simple moral lesson imo.

I wish the movie was more about having fun in the 1984 setting and Minerva as those were the best parts to me, the motivation and power of the main antagonist were nonsensical , but again it was enjoyable and at end despite max almost destroying the world he didn't even go to jail, just learned a lesson and lived happily wtf/ISPOILER]

It's been getting alright reviews and has a decent user rating. But I've seen a lot of my friends say it's bad also. What's wrong with it?
My guess, it has little action, more of a cute romance/drama movie, the message isn't subtle at all and Diana is just less interesting than the last movie(seems like the writters/director don't have any idea what to do with her at all)

However i still liked the villains specially minerva so i recommend watching it anyways to form your opinion, it just won't be anywhere near my favorites

Holy shit that was horrible. Wtf?

The terrible writing and visual style, the horrible CG, the weird cheesy tone, the unnecessarily long run time and slow ass pacing.

It's a superhero movie with terrible writing that somehow still takes like an hour and a half to even have a proper action scene which is instant ruined by early 00's CGI and a weird style that I can only describe as spy kids with a slightly higher budget.

The fuck happened here?. First one wasn't amazing but it was still a fun time and way better than I expected.

It was terrible. I don’t even know why the first 10 min of the film were even relevant
I thought it was obvious, little Diana was a selfish little girl, hundreds of years after she grows out of it and accepts her boyfriend has been dead since the war , and she moves on to another man that reminds her of Steve

The only saving grace I can see here. Gal and Kristen are nice to look at.

I agree with you on everything but the man hating. There were exceptions being Steve/his vessel and the homeless guy. Every single one of the others was always cat calling and offering themselves to the ladies the whole movie. Ive never seen a movie with so much cat calling.

Also, not sure if I missed it but did Max ever offer a wish to a woman than caused any of the massive destruction? Legit curious now that I’m thinking of it.

At best the movie is a pop corn flick but it does nothing for the DCEU and only complicates it due to poor writing.

I know you think you’re right, hunny child, however the production team DID take aspects of Trump and funnelled them into Lord’s character. Alongside this, Pascal is an avowed anti-Trumper.

If you’d done your homework, you’d know this.

I watched the movie. All I saw was a man who wanted his son to be proud of him (the reason behind his behavior was explained via flashback in the climax)... I think the "Trump stylings" is in the con-man stuff and the way he tried to use money or the promise of it to get what he wanted which was
The DreamStone

He thought he would make his son proud of him if he had everything.

But the "why not more?" thing was indicative of 80s greed.
He was literally in front of the presidents seal, asking for people to essentially hoist their wishes onto him. It was blatantly obvious

He wasn't the president though... He was there to get everyone to get to wish something... The trade-off so
he could heal himself and give Barbara her Cheetah powers.
Same thing. I just watched Gremlins 2 and it had an evil business tycoon villain named Clump. For decades Trump has been synonymous with evil conceited business guy. Lol give me a break.

Oof lol. TDS detected

Trump isn't a good person, imo. I don't think he's a sympathetic person. I've never thought that. Even before he became president. I'm older than you so I remember more of him in the spotlight. But he wasn't synonymous with "evil conceited business guy" ... He was synonymous with " conceited business guy who has a ton of wealth and gets married a lot" ... Like someone once said on this board .. "anyone who's a billionaire has their hands dirty in something" ... I gave him a chance as president... He made some good decisions but not all. His demeanor was off-putting and he seemed off his rocker a bit when he spoke.

Again, my opinion. I try to go with my gut with people. I could be off and he's a great guy... But I'll never meet him so I'll never know.

You keep saying you watched it as if you have PTSD from it! All I can say is if you don’t believe me, have a little goggle and confirm for yourself that the production team made statements that they were Intent on making the character Trump-like (which they then attempted to ‘walk back’ after the backlash).

My issue with the film is more Jenkins intent on making all the male characters leering, drooling Neanderthals.

I did enjoy Carter’s fleeting cameo though. Perhaps the film should’ve leaned more into the more playful side of her version of WW.

That RT score is very misleading. It's not an awful movie, just very average. To be honest I don't think it's much worse than the first one, so I'm a little confused by all the hate. The original movie wasn't that good and the sequel is much the same in terms of quality. Goes to show how the media can get behind a movie for the purpose of an agenda, rather than on the quality of the movie itself.

The more I think about it, the more the back half of this movie becomes a mess The first half is okay enough for what it was but it doesn't set up anything for the second half so they just kind of car-crashed into the main plot and resolution for the film. It's more like a 4 or 5 after more thought.

imagine being such desperate you find Kristen Wiig "hot".

lmao dude just watch any other movie you could find a hotter chick
Who said anything about hot? I thought she looked all nice and done up in this one, more than usual. In the end though, this movie was trash and I didn't even watch an hour of it.

So did she basically rape that guy that Chris Pine was possessing? Kinda fucking weird.

This movie sucked. I could barely pay attention to it after the first hour.

and? BVS looked awful. Justice Leauge looked awful. Wonder Woman looked awful.

Some of those are from BvS. Justice League did look bad, that happens when you kick a visual master off a project, it's okay... Snyder Cut will look bonkers. Wonder Woman def didn't look awful, get them eyes tested, son!

I didn't like it, the whole first scene doesn't make sense. The first film established she cant train till she was a teenager.

They live pretty much forever, who's to say that isn't a teenager by their standards? That said they still stop her from winning. Lots more about the film makes less sense than that scene.

Wonder Woman looked awful in the final battle. You know that big important climax. Just like Black Panther did.

You always get weirdly defensive when people shit on DC movie's special effects. Marvel movies look bad in spots too. Just nowhere near as bad as DC movies do on the regular.

Yeah, I weirdly like proving people like you wrong. Marvel movies routinely look bad because it's not just about quality of CGI but how it's actually directed, how you frame the shots, etc. There's a very television feel to everything they do, while you criticize the Wonder Woman finale which still looks better than any MCU finale...
