The piku perm was harsh. Yes that post was dickish but it didn't seem perm worthy unless he has a vast history of warnings about this stuff

almost immediately derailed by trying to "zing" E.L.'s post. I'm managing a software company and have about 20 guys training in my unit right now. Despite our work mostly being via computer - if someone thinks it professional or funny to zing me when I'm getting serious; they'll be written up.

While I agree with this I think a perm is too harsh a temp ban would derive a better result and possible behavioral changes.
I won't fire someone on the spot for a zing. Unless it's an incredibly inappropriate one, which to me this was not.

All those likes are yours, spokesperson. But if you pay close attention, then you know a ban isn't usually solely on one single post (like the got em one). It takes a few hits.
