The Piku_Ringo ban was way too harsh. He was just making a joke. It definitely shouldn't be permanent. Does he have a prior history of bannings? I don't understand that one at all.

Banning ArtemisClydeFrog from politics is also a bit much. Can't you just give him a warning or temp ban from there? He didn't seem harsher than anyone else there.

I just sit by and observe but I saw E.L.'s post rebuttaling the dumb comment by Matt and Piku_Ringo almost immediately derailed by trying to "zing" E.L.'s post. I'm managing a software company and have about 20 guys training in my unit right now. Despite our work mostly being via computer - if someone thinks it professional or funny to zing me when I'm getting serious; they'll be written up.

While I agree with this I think a perm is too harsh a temp ban would derive a better result and possible behavioral changes.

I won’t fire someone on the spot for a zing. Unless it’s an incredibly inappropriate one, which to me this was not.

You do know that this much caretagging will result in that you will have to bake multiple pies for those affected, right? And i am talking actual pies - not any kind of fetish pies.
