I think that's what 90% of the posters that have posted here believe underneath it all. The MS buying Sega thing has come up every time MS has launched a console without fail, with the first one probably being the only time there was any real smoke.

Personally would love to see it happen though. Some potentially brilliant IPs there for GP, things that might not make sense as individual purchases anymore.

While Sega would be an excellent fit for Microsoft, the Xbox brand and direction, I see an acquisition as highly unlikely but was is likely is a long term deal with Sega to get their games on Xbox (and possibly into Game Pass) day one alongside PlayStation. Just having them available for sale on Xbox the same day as PlayStation would be a massive win for Microsoft and the Xbox brand. Anything beyond that would be a bonus.
