Really excited to play and I absolutely love Arkane, but some of these tens do seem to be a bit suspicious.

Maybe reviewers are just chomping at the bit for any next gen game.

If you don't like stealth, avoid their games.

You can play as rambo, but your are far more op than the enemies and you basically waste all the exploration, level design etc.
 
I very much liked dishonored 1& 2 and prey, glad to see this is reviewing well. Went digital so i can play first thing in the am

Maybe try Prey on PS when it's on sale? If you have the disc PS5 you can get the PS4 disc cheap (£4.99 per-owned from Game in the UK).

Or if you have a toaster PC, it should be quite easy to run Dishonored.

Dishonored is exactly the kind of game like Deathloop that is difficult for marketing because it plays a lot better than it looks from an outside perspective. Watchers don't understand the cool gameplay they are seeing is not a button smash and requires a lot of creativity to look like it does. Those insane Dishonored runs are still some of the most mind blowing show of skills i've seen in gaming to this day.

I'm hoping game pass brings Arkane the praise/fan base they deserve in the future tbh.

Maybe getting them on a more well known IP might help them too, but I would personally prefer they keep doing their own ips myself.

Well, you know, first party studios work together all the time. What if another Microsoft internal studio ends up being the development partner for Perfect Dark? Not the most insane idea. Anything is possible.

Think some of the Arkane team should become part of an internal COE team across XGS, would include some of the photogrammetry team from Playground and engine team from ID.

I think it's underway but definitely will take some time.
 
The one dream combo that I heard this weekend was Blade plus Arkane, I wouldnt be too fussed cause I don't have a massive love for Blade but it could be interesting for others.

This thread is becoming the epitome of console wars.
Of course MS had nothing to do with this game. They will also have nothing to do with Starfield or Redfall. MS is nothing more than a money bag. Same with Sony. They aren't making TLOU. They are paying Naughty Dog developers to do that. Do you guys think MS and Sony have rogue developers that go around and make all these games good? No they are massive corporations that give talented developers money. That is it. They bought people to make games. Stop worshiping them.
The developers at Arkane have made a great game.
 
Loved the dishonored series.. was put off by the constant nagging and downshitting of the game here, but after watching all video reviews, just bought it for ps5. and for 55 bucks, not too bad eitherr!
 
It always looked really good to me. GAF seemed to have a bone to pick with this game tho.
Reviewed more positively than I thought.

I think they are chomping at the bit for any reason to give out a 10. All 90+ metascore games this year are ports or remasters, while there were a whole bunch of new 90+ games last year. Not saying Deathloop doesn't deserve its score though.

And you seriously think its not the reason for most? Literally the big "criticism" ive seen is over marketing. What else was anyone gonna hate on when the in depth previews about a month ago shut up everyone w more idiotic concerns?

I started the gym again recently after a long period of being a lazy twat and it's safe to say I was "ever so slightly" tired after ten minutes....

Perhaps I could be his assistant? Make a few suggestions, make coffee , adjust his chair etc?
