MS just buy sega already. They can finally have the funds to bring back the dream teams:

Team Andromeda
Tetsuya Mizuguchi

Daytona 3, Virtua Fighter 6, Last Bronx 2, Sonic Anime Cel/Chaded 3-D game, Nights 3, Panzer Dragoon series Remastered 4k 60fps, Virtua Fighter series remastered 4k 60fps, Daytona USA series Remastered 4k 60fps, etc
 
Meanwhile VF5US is PS4/PS5 exclusive

yeah, sadly Japanese laws or someshit don't let them do so.
and while Xbox would finally get more worthy exclusives, that would also mean we woudn't be able to get SEGA stuff like Yakuza, Virtua Fighter, Persona, PuyoPuyo or Sonic on Playstation systems, so i'd rather SEGA stay independent.

Sacrifice multi-platform availability for the greater good. Sega would have the funding to make and localize

-New Panzer Dragoon game
-Skies of Arcadia Remake
-Virtua Fighter 6
- Sonic Mania 2 would probably get greenlit
- MS could hire top talent away from other studios like they did to form the coalition and make better Sonic games
- Binary Domain remake
- Yakuza Kenzan and Ishin western releases
- Sakura Wars with full voice acting and a deeper battle system

I'm half joking btw. It would suck to see PS and Nintendo gamers miss out but I can't help but think how great Sega would be with more funding. and I know Sega just won Metacritic publisher of the year. But I think Sega could get back to their god like 6th gen greatness where it was just a crazy combination of quality and quantity. In those days Sega had bangers month after month for Dreamcast, Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube.

Sega arcade games would be a great fit for Gamepass, that's for sure.

im pretty sure there was already a new Sakura Wars, a Panzer dragoon remake and that their doing a new Virtua Fighter, im also pretty sure they could translate those Yakuza games and make a Mania 2 without Xbox as they'd be cheap realeases, if anything a Sonic game with funding would be more akin to an Adventure 3 or 06 except good.

and even then funding is also something Playstation or even Nintendo can also do, this being said, i do agree that Xbox/Microsoft need them the most, as Sony and Nintendo already got exclusives (even if Nintendo could do some variety rather than just E Rated stuff) and would probably be the best option when it comes to freedom.

i agree with the last part, hell i'd consider the OG Xbox to bassicly be a Dreamcast 2.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Xbox Series X, nor will they purchase any of Sega's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Microsoft has alienated an entire market with this move.

Microsoft, publicly apologize and announce the acquisition of Sega this Wednesday or you can kiss your business goodbye.
