Xbox and Bethesda Showcase June 12th

Phil never says that.
You lot are like flies to a fresh dog shit. As soon as anyone says anything not praising xbox, even if it's in jest, you come flying in to puke all over.

If i could be arsed, i would dig out the list of times 'Phil' has said it, but it's a pointless exercise as you'd scarper like cockroaches when the light comes on.

Can not wait to be blown away by Forza

That is, we should not be hit by Starfield. We should not be hit by Awoved. We shouldn't be hit by anything else.

We're supposed to be hit by Forza, seriously?

Can Microsoft do anything that's graphically amazing other than the Forza series? There is also Hellblade 2, but I don't like this video where she just walks and yells, called "gameplay"

I don't know what will be shown in all honesty but I expect Forza to be the best looking if we get actual gameplay (which I think we do with a release date)

Currently replaying Skyrim, and it has reminded me of how much I love Bethesda RPGs. Writing may be not the best, and the RPG mechanics are barebones, but man, getting lost in their worlds is the shit.

I just want to be blown out by Starfield. Todd said something about making this one more hardcore than Skyrim and Fallout 4, so here's hopping they deliver in that front.

I wonder which "roles" we'll have available. Maybe instead of the Conjuration magic school we'll be able to create robots to do shit for us? I don't think the game will have magic powers ala Mass Effect, so I'm curious to see which gameplay alternatives there are to "shoot thing" or "punch thing" when it comes to "kill thing".

They've strongly hinted at a more complete take on Cyberpunk's life paths. Depending on the choices you make in the beginning you MIGHT start out on an entirely different planet with an entirely different view of the larger galaxy until the eventual point where all life paths cross. I think this is what Todd means by the game having two step out moments? If that's not it maybe he simply means first stepping out onto the starting planet, and then the next is perhaps outer space flight?

Dude could just genuinely really like the forza motorsport series.

I'd be blown away/mad hype if we got a new ki or something else unexpected.

Everyone has different tastes/interests :)

Well no. Above, he literally says that if they show the gameplay of Forza, then it will take away everything else

I'm so pumped for this, I hope I'm not let down! Given the number of games in the works, it should be a very solid show.

As I said in another thread, I really hope we get some sort of Gears Of War remasters. And I know it's pie in the sky stuff....but I can still dream of another Banjo and Conker game!!

I'm really curious if the first party titles will be series S/X only, or whether games will be coming to Xbox one too.

I'm hoping series S/X only myself, as whilst I thought bf2042 was not fun at all in the beta, i'd be a liar, If I said I was not impressed with how you load into a multiplayer game within 5 seconds with 128 other players on a beautiful highly detailed map.

Also when on gears 5, when with a fully lobby on series X, games start very quickly, but if an older console user loads in, you are waiting around what sucks.

Good but with e3 this year, would it not have been wiser to do the show like in September october time, you would have more games to show and games have a few months to be ready.

Everwild is, the other two aren't.
I wish I shared your optimism.

Fable has been in development for a long time and we haven't seen a thing other than a throwaway trailer. And just recently a former developer shared details about that which was discussed in another thread.

Perfect Dark is on a different level with all the departures and transfer of work to CD. Doesn't sound like a healthy project. Hopefully they can deliver something solid soon.

I'd be surprised to see either game at the show this year.

The studio that's making Fable literally put out a game a few months ago. Till now, they have not been known to be a studio that big that they have two games in active development at the same time. Anything before is from artists on a conceptual or design stage if I'm not mistaken.

That's not development hell.

Better than HB2? That's one hell of bar that's been set.

I mean Forza will look the best in it's genre, for sure.

As for Hellblade 2, I think the more we see of it, the more apparent it's going to be that only the NEXT (PS5 exclusive, not cross gen) entries from Naughty Dog, Guerilla and Sony Santa Monica will compete with it visually in the "Cinematic single player, 3rd person, story driven" wheelhouse.

Platforms for most of the announced games have already been revealed. Most are Series X/S only.

It has been in development since mid 2018. That's not that long a time, development wise. Less than 5 years. And the details the former developer shared were NOT uncomplimentary in the slightest.

How you extrapolated that to mean 'development hell' is weird.

You don't have to share any optimism. Just don't make up stuff.

They've never done that at any of their showcases.
Shouldn't be so hard for you guys to pull out proof if they actually do that every year.
Phil and Co routinely do it. If you think I'm going to dig up 3 year old E3 videos, watch them for hours, just to pull a clip for a gaf thread, you're out of your mind. I have a job, ya know?

I'm not making stuff up. Perhaps development hell is too harsh of a term but considering the timeline and the ex-developers comments from a couple weeks ago, it doesn't paint a pretty picture.

what ex developers comment did miss something ?

I have trouble believing any of the statements you just made. If they did that routinely it shouldn't be that hard to proof.

I'm dumbfounded a mod deleted my post just for posting the Bethesda joins Xbox image and the trailer for when the acquisition was completed... really? That's some truly over-the-top moderating guys.

Do we really have to cater that strongly to people's personal feelings if they don't want to see it or be reminded? Keeping it real, but that's just silly folks.

Edit: and just to add... in a thread literally about the Bethesda and Xbox showcase. How is that image of them joining Xbox and the awesome trailer associated with its completion considered off limits? Make it make sense.

Depends on how much you care about us. If you cared about us, you do the work, if you don't care about us, you break our hearts and hurt our gaming souls.

Playground built a team for Fable. Taking time doesn't mean development hell.

The initiative are not even 100 strong. Although not mentioned during their formation, it now seems obvious that they were going to need external support. Again, doesn't mean development hell

But I do agree with your bottom sentence though. I don't expect either to be shown this year.

I hope they don't keep Hellblade 2 again for The Game Awards show in December. It finally needs to be shown fully!

But if Ninja has very few developers behind Hellblade 2 then I don't see it happening this soon again!
