I think the reason they didn't go with the comic design for Gorr is fear that a lot of moviegoers who don't know the comics very well are going to compare his appearance to Voldemort.

I'm cool with trailers not giving away the plot, especially when the audience already knows what kind of thing to expect since it's part of a series. In recent years trailers have given away so much.

They've thrown together Lady Thor (or whatever the character name is) and Gorr the God Butcher (great comic story).

Hopefully with Bale being Gorr they don't disappoint on the villain plotline in favour of the Jane stuff. The trailers focused on it, but hopefully that's not too representative of the whole movie.

I found Strange 2 to be a bit of a disappointment, but I'm more hopeful about this one.

No reason they can't. Taika is back. It has largely the same cast, but with the addition of A-lister Bale. The pieces of the puzzle are all there for a proper sequel to Ragnarok. Trailer looks dope. I can't wait...for it to hit streaming.
