Probably, but as the only mistakes in the case were benefitting her anyway, it won't succeed.

It has to be a legal error for the appeal to work not just that you don't like the result.

My one and only serious comment on these two arseholes and their ongoing public fucking psychodrama is that the jury should have been sequestered, and that she's bound to appeal on these grounds alone.

Ultimately this shit should never have got to court in the first place. He's a wanker, she's a twat. Whoever wins, we all lose.

To appeal there would need to be an actual legal error, and as far as any of the legal streamers can see the only errors were made in her benefit, such as the incorrect jury instructions and the closing argument from her team that was against the law (When they tried to make the case about every domestic abuse case)

Secondly, if Amber didn't make up this whole thing none of this would have happened. What would you prefer Depp to let it go and accept his life was ruined by total fabrications when he was actually the abuse victim?

I guess you would've just took it on the chin that some lying bitch ruined your life and took away your livelihood?

That's not necessarily true. I mean just looking at this case, we know Johnny kept his mother close despite all the abuse he got. Familial bonds are really hard to break for better or worse.

This isn't about Depp as a hero and her as a villain. This is about false allegations that ruined someone's life without a shred of evidence. It's about the justice system finally working as intended with a verdict supported by evidence instead of the frontier justice bullshit that's been peddled over the last however many years on Twitter. That alone is worth celebrating.

Someone on that twitter thread said that to appeal, she would first need to deposit the 10 mil.

Also appeal can be raised based on something the lawyers objected about during the court. So they say.

Depp lost his reputation and livelihood due to her false allegations. He had every right to sue her for this. His personal flaws play no role in this.
