It's kind of sad that this need to be said, but not surprising because some people could not accept that Kojima could possibly be making a Xbox exclusive.
Are you the author of that petition?
Have you seen the people that console war on GAF? Of COURSE they have to clarify.Sad that they even have to clarify.
No, it's definitely sad.
And likely prompted by a lot of angry tweeters, won't be surprised if there were a certain number of death threats going by how the calm people on twitter usually operate.
Yeah. It's sad that they have to clarify.
Literally no rational person thought that lol.Same with those who didn't see Kojima making another game playable on PlayStation. Goes both ways,
Kojima also talked about cloud gaming a whole lot back in 2019, not sure why this context is never brought up because it kind of hints where he is going:
"I think within the next few years, gaming will move on to streaming. Movies, dramas, and games will all be streamed, and you'll enjoy them on your iPad or iPhone or a TV anytime, anywhere. When that happens, games, films, and dramas will have to compete in the same space."
"5G commercial services have launched, Google announced a cloud gaming service, and Apple is strengthening its position in the gaming industry. Cloud gaming allows direct delivery of games on any screen, be it a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop, without the need for consoles. Cloud gaming experienced a boom around 4, 5 years ago, but there was no phenomenon carrying it. Many say it'll end in failure, but I think it didn't work out because the technology wasn't advanced enough. Now that 5G has launched, we'll see a huge shift to cloud gaming during the next five years. Games will change drastically. Of course, high-end console games like the ones released nowadays will remain. But technology will keep progressing, and we'll be able to create brand new types of games with novel gimmicks. Entertainment as a whole will change and allow more liberty. We'll start seeing completely different games these next five years as 5G spreads. There's one big thing I have in mind related to streaming as well. I can't say anything more as I don't want to spoil though."
"I really want to do something a little different. In the next five years, the platform will be streaming. I think there's something ahead, and I'm thinking about that. It's a movie, but it's a game...I'm thinking of that kind of idea and I want to do that kind of thing."
Literally no rational person thought that lol.
Yeah, I can't remember if it was related to him or some other project, but I remember reading something about the idea of a horror game that basically uses your real life phone details. Taking location data, contacts, etc etc to build a horror narrative out of it. Though I don't know what the "game" part, or what the driving purpose or objective would be to even be, but I could see him pulling off some crazy stuff.I think his idea is for a horror game that follows you everywhere.
That ain't it pal. It is definitely the sad sony fanboys on twitter raising a fuss. have you seen some of those people? they're sad.Is this sad? Or is it obvious PR when "some" Xbox fans are making it into something that it wasn't.
It's like this with most Kojima games in my experience. I won't go as far as to say it's love/hate but sometimes his quirkiness shines through in ways that's a bit off-putting. Sometimes it manifests itself in odd pacing and other times poor Johnny is peeing his pants.Death Stranding is a fantastic game, but it isn't for everyone. If you don't like it, wait until you go to Chapter 3 and until the second map unlocks. Spend some time there, and drop if you don't like it there.
Parts of it are computing remotely, and not just on your system. Can anyone explain what a "cloud game" even means?
Parts of it are computing remotely, and not just on your system.
It's theoretical really. If you run a cloud game on a super-computer then you can have graphics better than any console in your browser and on your phone.I'm trying to picture what this means from a potential gameplay perspective. Any idea what things a cloud game do that a traditional game can't?
You stream the game via a server like watching YouTube. Can anyone explain what a "cloud game" even means?
Is what is sound. The new vapor ware. Can anyone explain what a "cloud game" even means?
LOL. Relax Sony gamers. Kojima is just making an Xbox game.
Never underestimate the buttblast of a true fanThis is hilarious that they had to even make this tweet to help ease flames
Pretty obvious given how Kojima has said he wants to make multiple games that he will continue to make games with PlayStation.
Also, never forget that Kojima uses a Hermen Hulst mousepad.
I know its not owned by them. I just said they were exclusive to Playstation from the start.Lolz the IP is not own by them! If the company wants the game everywhere they have to do it!
if a billionaire company throws money at something .. things happen.I know its not owned by them. I just said they were exclusive to Playstation from the start.
Just like most the Personas. Was weird for the fanbase that has bought and played them all on Playstation
Duh…if a billionaire company throws money at something .. things happen.
Todd Howard has access to the Decima Engine now. Did I read that correctly?
The partner of my partner is my partner.
If its anything like "The power of the cloud" that was supposed to make Crackdown 3 only playable on xbox, then it doesn't mean a whole lot tbhCan anyone explain what a "cloud game" even means?
Highly likely for DS2.Cool I wonder if he's going to use the same engine again.
Highly likely for DS2.
I really wonder what they're using for Silent Hill(s) though.
Excuse me, who are you?I will never understand how this egomaniac, failed B-movie director gets so much attention and reverence. I thought that the Death Stranding clusterfuck would have been a wake-up call for the majority, but Kojima seems more powerful than ever before.
