Well, the net is tightening round me. Bro testing positive, guy in work I was with tested positive earlier this week. Think my covid cherry is about to be popped sadly.

So going to mark this journey with a thread for Covid virgins to represent!!!

I did in January. Wasn't fun, but got better after 5 or 6 days. I had some lingering issues for a few months after that, unfortunately.

I had it once and my wife twice. Im sure Ill get it again before the year is over.

Luckily it wasnt so bad for me. Went through a whole roll of TP blowing my nose for 2 days then it was basically over. My wife had it a bit worse especially the first time. I am fully vaccinated+booster so I assume that at least helped it be a bit more mild.

Vaccinated with 2 boosters. Haven't been sick since the pandemic started. Haven't missed a workout. I'm the primary caregiver for an elderly parent and they haven't shown symptoms either. I'm guess no, but who really knows.

My job has me traveling once per week at least and this didn't stop during COVID. They were even ready to compensate me well if I got it because they felt bad. Never did. Made no sense and I lost out on a good check.

I popped my cherry a few weeks ago. It was painful and a very emotional time for me and luckily it was all over very quickly. Also I've had Covid.

I haven't done a test but I have been sick twice since Covid started. No obvious symptoms like cannot taste or smell etc so I'm not sure if it's just a fever, a flu or whatever.

Tested positive yesterday via a rapid test. This is my first positive. Who knows if I had it prior, tests were hard to get here in December. I'm A bit pissed that my government wouldn't release 2nd boosters to under 60s until literally today. I even tried to get it earlier a month or two back as I'm the only relative of someone immunocompromised.

I popped my cherry 3 weeks ago it's no joke if you're an overweight asthmatic like me with pre-diabetes…bonus though I lost 30 pounds due to lack of taste and making positive lifestyle changes like no more booze.

Pretty sure I had it, I was having trouble breathing, went to get tested they said I was negative. Not sure if I got a bad test or I had omicron before they knew about it.

I'm recovering right now, I had symptoms of a headache, achy muscles, and a fever. I tried testing and tested as negative. I can still taste and smell, so perhaps I'm just out with the flu. My bro and I got sick, he went to a Backstreet Boys Concert at the beginning of July all masked up. I think I got it from the Bubble Tea place after watching Thor Love and Thunder on Sat, felt the tickle in my throat on Sun, and felt really sick on Mon, Tues, and today. Not sure if it's covid-19 or just bad flu. I got Night sweats and everything.

Not that I know of but I probably have covid antibodies. Right before covid started both my wife and I had horrible bronchial infections and I am wondering if that was it because I love it has been in this country longer than recorded.

Popped my cherry two weeks ago. Tested Negative the entire time and gave it to my wife who then tested positive. I gotta say, the new strains are child's play. Outside of the 2 massive headaches that I got around 2AM a couple of nights, I would have never known I had it.

Twice- first time sucked for 4-5 days, never got a sore throat or cough just lost my taste and had terrible aches and chills. Second time I was triple vaxxed and it felt like a decent cold for like 3 days. I expect living in a place where nobody gives a shit anymore and with a new highly contagious variant going around, and two kids in daycare, I'll be in for a third round before the year is over

Raises hand.

Just escaped it not once but three times in a matter of weeks.

First my family goes to UK, I was supposed to travel with them but changed plans to meet up with them later. They all caught covid the week they landed. Then I was supposed to go to Chicago for a wedding, but canceled those plans and went to UK instead. Everyone at the wedding got covid. My mom, brother, almost all of her sisters. In the UK, met up with a friend who was traveling from another country himself. We slept in the same hotel room, same bed even after hanging out all night in Central London. We shared a hookah though I only took one hit. He tested positive two days later. I was convinced I had it but a week later I am fine.

After being free and clear for over two years, I got the latest strain a couple weeks ago at my cousin's wedding.

I'm in my 30s, good shape, two vaxxes. Took me completely out of commission for an entire day, followed by three days of suck, then about another week of annoying lingering symptoms.

Couldn't stay conscious on that first day it hit. I was awake for about five hours total.

I probably had it without knowing it. I spent the whole beginning of the pandemic going to the indoor gym every other day, before the vaccines, wearing no masks, surrounded by other people not wearing masks.

I don't think I've had COVID. I got quite sick a few months ago, but had none of the classic symptoms, but it could have been a variant.

Currently have it 😬
Also had it in January 2020, two months before it was deemed a pandemic; fuck I have never been so sick in my life

at this point its not a matter of if you get it, its a matter of when you get it

but even if you do get it, its a lot like the flu: nasty, but youll survive, and youll probably get it again some day. im glad i got it twice already. the second time wasnt as bad as he first, and the first wasnt all that bad tbh.

Wife was knocked on her ass Christmas 2019, has asthma. Wouldnt suprise me if she had it.

I've tested negative on a few potential exposures and no symptoms.

85mg aspirin and fish oil master race.
