Got it in late April. Finally shook it in very early June. Had walking bronchitis at one point.

I don't miss that taste.

That taste...

Had it last week. Mild sore throat and some flem for a few days.

I likely would have just assumed it was allergies or something but had close contact so tested. I got boosted back when boosters were first available.

In 2019 I had a bad cold in March before anything was confirmed as COVID. Had a hard cough as well. But it was never diagnosed as COVID, so....it's a maybe for me. But since March no, I haven't had it and I have taken tests when sick.

I’m glad I did the test before I went to work,I wasn’t feeling that bad still had a bad cough, had some tests so decided to take one now Im off work for a week maybe two, only good thing is missing work it’s horrible at Walmart they don’t want to hire people they expect we to do produce and meat ,and help unload trucks by myself.

I had my first positive test last Monday after having a mild cold all weekend. I feel fine now and wasn't too bad. Funnily enough I tested negative when I felt sick but tested positive when I felt better so go figure.

Ted Kaczynski posts on GAF?

LOL

nah, I got a remote condo in the lake district here in Cumbria, uk. Spent the entire 2 years camped out there with my wife and baby to stay away from covid and had a close firend bring groceries once a month lol

there was a typo there, I meant 4 miles not 40.

Tbh I'm not even sure. I recall being deathly ill in late December of 2019, right as reports of the initial covid cases in the USA started showing up.
It felt like the flu, might've been just that idk. Even so, I've never tested positive for any of the covid variants.

many people I knew had a similar experience. It was late october-november ish, 2 weeks where half of my friends were off work sick with an awful bout of flu and lingering cough.

it wasn't even on the news here at the time, not until like late december / january in the uk.

Interesting. I didn't think much of it at the time, but that was more or less my experience. I recall feeling like complete shit for a couple weeks, but never felt in fear for my life or anything.

Even though I've been living in Covid ground zero from the start I've never had it, nobody I actually know in the real world has had it or their extended social groups. I'm sure climate and lifestyle are big factors in whether you get it.

I've never gotten the coof to my knowledge, but I've never taken a test. I've felt like shit on occasion for a day or two, but who hasn't?

I might have had it but can't really tell for sure unless i get a blood test. The reason is because there were few days here and there where I had little sore throat. But then again, it was during my severe allergies season so it's most likely that, but you never know.

Exactly the same experience.
I remember watching youtube vids about shit going down in China at the time but nothing else.
Certainly didn't think it was covid at the time but i know i've never tested positive for it

Haven't really tested but if I had it I was asymptomatic
I tested positive after a class trip to DC and several of the students in my group tested positive after returning. My wife insisted that I test even though I felt great! I was asymptomatic for the week I was in quarantine. I played a ton of games and movies as well as ordered a lot of take out. It was the best vacation I’ve ever had!

I don't think I've had it. If I did it was Nov/Dec '19 and I was incredibly unlucky. I definitely had something, and it wasn't the normal cold/flu.

Never had it as far as I know. Never been tested, nor had symptoms.

Several co-workers and family have had it though so I've probably had it and been asymptomatic.

Never had it! And I've been to movies, weddings. the gym, gatherings, restaurants all unmasked. And my previous job literally had me interacting with dozens of people unmasked all day monday to friday for 50-60 hour weeks, and travel a lot so I was at the airport twice a month. Newark airport too, a big one. Never had it.

It's either not as transmissible as doomposters would lead you to believe or I'm in the small portion of the population that scientist say just can't get it. My girlfriend has also been out and about and been exposed in close quarters directly unmasked for hours twice and even days this one time and never had it.

Maybe I had it maybe I didn't. One of my kids may have been exposed to it. I'm on immunosuppressants and have been ok for most of the 2-3 years.

oh i don't listen to "doomposters" but i do see people at my work who test positive for covid every single day. i work in healthcare and see the reality of covid all the time.

i'm not saying it's impossible to get to now without catching covid. shit, like i just said, i deal with patients every day and i only just caught covid for the first time last week. i'm just calling bullshit that you have been out socialising and working 50-60 hour weeks (since 2020 of course...) and interacting with lots of people unmasked and haven't caught it.

either you're talking shit or very very lucky. oh i guess your GF must be very lucky too...how convenient you mentioned her in your reply and not your original post. also it's cute how you take scientists at their word for saying you "just can't get it" but ignore everything else.

Nope! I've taken the test 3 or 4 times but nothing.
3-4 tests since early 2020?

because that's a LOT /s i've done like 200-250 tests since 2020.

Only when I felt something I did it.

Could be. As far as I know, which isn't much, I haven't lol
fair enough lol. there were times i thought i had it but didn't. many times people have felt perfectly fine and tested positive. just saying you can have it without symptoms. my symptoms were quite mild (slight headache and shivers) but unfortunately caught an infection on top of it. if it weren't for the infection i'd have just thought it was a very mild cold or a "24 hour thing".

I'm sorry you cant cope with my situation but you're free to believe what you want. I worked the job from summer 2021 to winter 2022. Not since 2020.

And I don't know about luck, it may just be that I cant get it. Not sure what I'm ignoring from scientist but I've read articles all throughout the pandemic theorizing some people just cant. And it is convenient she wasn't in my original post because the prompt is "how many covid virgins left on GAF" not "what gaffers significant other has caught it yet" lol stop grasping at straws and stop being weird.

i don't really care about your situation lol. again, just saying i think you're talking shit or very lucky. maybe i am wrong and that's cool 🤷‍♂️

maybe you can't get it but you seem so fixated on that which is the weird thing here.

Had it twice, wife had it once and she's a nurse on a covid wing. She only got covid from somebody going to a party with covid symptoms and not telling anybody. She had no issues with covid while working bedside with covid patients.

Crazy to think about.

All evidence to the contrary but okay.

And I'm not, I postulated it as an offhand comment and then you replied fixated on it and I replied to that.

Had it twice. First time I was physically down for a week, really sucked. Second was just really annoying cold symptoms for a month straight, extremely lame, but not serious or scary.

From 2020 through now, I haven't felt sick at all. No tests, no vaccines, no masks, period. Continued working and living the normal, in-person way. I've been surrounded by people in somewhat cramped quarters who were a mix of mask and no mask, in my state and in another, throughout this time.

My wife is the same, and nadda. She hasn't been sick aside from a mild 2-day cold once, which I didn't get from her at all. She is also not tested, didn't get the vaccines, and doesn't wear a mask. I don't know of any friend, family member, co-worker, or general acquaintance in my area who's had it, or even been sick with anything serious at all.

The only thing I know for sure is that some family members who got vaccines claim to have gotten sick afterwards, wondering why I never got sick without one. I just shrug. Covid's existence has changed absolutely nothing about my life or how I go about it. If I didn't read about it online, I would have never known it existed - both because nothing ever happened to me, nor to anyone else around me (aside from some of them going insane).

The only effects it's had on me were brought on by the insane changes in society, the economy and various industries as a response to it.

Am I just lucky?
