Sony probably had their no Game Pass clause on this deal so I wouldn't be surprised if MS had to bend over and let them put this on PS Plus for free so they could put it on GP.

Now that it's on PS+, I think it won't drop on Gamepass anymore, at least until it's on PS+.
It'll likely release on Xbox (not Gamepass) after September 15, however.

Anyone that is on Premium tier chose according to the offering that has not been altered much. It got some, very few, additions but they did not remove anything so far. So if you bought or upgraded to Premium for something that you expected, but never actually was there, that's your own fault.

Yeah, there are far more games on this service that I would like to try than I have the slightest chance of getting through. I guess it doesn't help that I have lately spent over 50 hours (might be 60 now) on just one of them.

It could still release this year, though it probably won't be on GP until the PS+ deal expires. Hopefully MS negotiated short and expensive deals with itself for Sony to match.

At this point, I'm expecting Playstation Premium will never add new PS2 games. The current PS2 games are the half-assed emulations released on PS4 years ago... And some of the PS2 games that were ok on the PS4 are straight up broken on PS5, with no indication by Sony that this will ever be fixed.
Playstation Premium is a complete joke, and I expect Sony to abandon releasing titles for Premium by the end of the year, as August was a clear indication that they don't give a shit about classic titles.

PS+ gets day one games too. Stray was a recent example. The discussion was first-party games. There has been zero from MS all year - GamePass or not.
