Glad SIE seems to be spending more time in Asia and with Japanese developers. I hope it means Ryan/Hulst finally see the importance of that market.

Imagine Kojima proposing a game to Sony and Jimbo refusing it.Imagine giving this guy a bazillion dollars and your proprietary engine and he just starts collaborating with your competitor.
Imagine Kojima proposing a game to Sony and Jimbo refusing it.
That's actually what happened as in the Stadia case. And Jimbo never had a good relationship with Kojima (from the words of Kojima himself when he visited CD Project Red some years ago).Imagine making up shit with no source to back it up.
bet on itI wonder if Kojima will unveil his next title(s) at TGA this year.
Not before announcing his new fashion line.I wonder if Kojima will unveil his next title(s) at TGA this year.
No wonder he raised game prices the man has no money to buy proper shirts.Jim Ryan really loves that shirt huh...
told everyone for years he was always making his next big game with Sony
Tears of joy from one side of the fense, and the other side filled with salty, bitter tears.
Kojima was always a Playstation guy and this surprises no one with the exception of the vocal minority in forums that don't own a Playstation. I guess they will go back to hating Kojima again.

They didn't have to 'Secure' DS2 at all...Sony owns the IP lol...True, for a time I think he was renegotiating that deal with Sony as this is still a business and maybe they wanted to see how that whole FTC thing would play out before showing their hand, I wouldn't be shocked if they held back a number of announcements based on that deal. At the same time that deal likely put pressure on them to secure DS2 knowing they had a uphill battle this gen.
So I wonder when Sony buys this actual studio and maybe they plan to based on how well DS2, all I know that all sequels by Kojima have been fucking epic, ZOE2, MGS2, I expect Kojima things with this one lol
So what happened to Overdose? Was that ever real? Are they working on multiple projects?
If he doesn't pull a metal gear rising situationYes to questions 2 and 3.
As for what happened, Kojima probably won't begin full development on it until DS2 releases. They already said it's not coming any time soon.

However I definitely agree that Sony is holding back several announcements and likely acquisitions until the dust settles on MS/Acti,time will tell.
Kojima stated that he was working on multiple projects. One is a AAA big title, that is Death Stranding 2 with Sony and an other is a smaller experimental game, that is probably Overdose and it's the cloud game that he's working on with Microsoft. So what happened to Overdose? Xbox still getting the Stadia breadcrumbs.

Source or didn't happen. That's actually what happened as in the Stadia case. And Jimbo never had a good relationship with Kojima (from the words of Kojima himself when he visited CD Project Red some years ago).
What he means is... €€€ ... $$$.
Sony pays well.

Sony pay us a shit ton of cash to keep us off xbox
On that note, since DS was announced and KP went with a different publisher for PC, PlayStation are now very interested in PC development - will they be publishing DS2 on PC?Not really because there's that Xbox title that he's working on. You'll be able to play DS2 on PC though.

Did know if 505 have publishing rights for sequels etcI mean if Sony published games on PC I don't see why they wouldn't publish this one.

zoe2 isn't a kojima sequel. in fact, they didn't even use 2 of his pitches for story.True, for a time I think he was renegotiating that deal with Sony as this is still a business and maybe they wanted to see how that whole FTC thing would play out before showing their hand, I wouldn't be shocked if they held back a number of announcements based on that deal. —Does this stance differ from the first Zone of Enders, where you were also Producer?
Kojima: I deliberately put some space between me and everyone this time. Ultimately, I feel the game design part of the development should be done by the game designers. If I start tinkering with the work they've done it would be weird. I did ask what their intentions and ideas were, but I didn't know what was really going on. If I had started meddling there, it would be like punching holes in the foundation of a building. "This column looks funky—take it out!" And then the whole thing collapses. I did a little meddling in the first Zone of Enders, unfortunately, but this time I was resolved not to. Well… I did speak up a bit there at the end of the development. (laughs)
That's why my work for Anubis was mainly macro level: I decided the overall direction and appointed staff, added new staff as they were needed, went to E3 to get some good promotion going, invited Kazuma Kaneko as a guest designer, asked GONZO to join and help with the anime, and did other promotion and filming at various game shows… all stuff like that.
