Third party marketplaces on Android are not really viable. Most people don't even know they exist.

So how is that Googles problem? You can still install any game from the publishers website, you can sideload games from your pc via usb without any modifcation.
Anyone can create a compeling play store alternative and anyone can integrate it into their own android version. I understand that you can say that Brad Sams argument fits for apple, but not for android.

That depends on the arguments, which the CMA would produce.

MS can actually get the deal approved, without any concessions, like the Brazil did.

The question is, are they willing to take that risk?

MS would be completely within their rights to make those new games exclusive but they did not. No reason CoD wouldn't be treated similarly. MS of course has already stated as much. Games like Starfield are really nothing like CoD so it's not a good comparison.
