you're having difficulty parsing it. EXISTING means already released. future multi-platform means titles they have decided to release multi-platform and not exclusively. They have done exactly what they said they would do. "future multi-platform games" is doing all the work there. it's not saying all future games will be multiplatform, it's saying future multi-platform games (games that MS doesn't want to go exclusive) will be available on all relevant storefronts.
I'm having no difficulty interpreting the submissions. They are written in plain English.

Try doing that on iOS.
Yeah MS are betting on various regulators around the world forcing it to happen.

I can see MS also doing deals with carriers (and for Android manufacturers) to have their stuff pre-loaded on devices if it does open up (if that's still allowed). I imagine an MS variant of Android may release as a Surface Phone too at some point.

They didn't claim that they wouldn't make Bethesda games exclusive. They said they had no incentive to REMOVE already released titles. People keep butchering that statement into meaning they had no incentive to remove series or future games. Microsoft has done exactly what they have stated with Bethesda titles and it was always stated that Bethesda was being acquired to bolster their exclusive first party content.
Source? Screenshots from official submissions would be sufficient.

When the staff know its an alt account, we need the name of the other account in the ban list... so we can laugh at the poster too 😂
I approve of this. They sometimes do though like the guy who always registers mods are this or that.

Should be a rule, if you have an alt and its found out all accounts are named in the ban section.

they reference their own submissions which aren't public.

Starfield, HiFi Rush, and Redfall we're all existing Zenimax games in development that would have released on PS5

None of them were released. They don't exist on any storefront or were available to buy. Therefore they aren't "existing".

On top of that, at the moment of acquisition none of them (referencing Starfield) had announced platforms, and two of them were not even announced to the public.

Should point out that when Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 were announced, they were announced as next-generation hardware. The reason for this was at the time Microsoft and Bethesda were in the middle of acquisition talks. Those talks fell apart in the summer of 2018. They re-engaged in 2020 and eventually came to an agreement.

We have any press releases or ads showing PlayStation as being a platform these games were coming to? This continues to be a point made but never any evidence of it being true. Since many PlayStation fans had no issue with Street Fighter 5 being exclusive because Sony supposedly paid for its development then the aforementioned Bethesda titles would be in the same category. Again MS never promised all Bethesda games would hit PlayStation.

I still think his interpretation makes more sense than your "future multiplatform games will be multiplatform"

that's not what it's saying at all.

It's saying that future multi-platform titles will be available on relevant storefronts.

Again, the passage:

This policy would not preclude players from downloading or buying these games outside of Xbox Game Pass: Microsoft anticipates that existing games and future multi-platform games will be available for purchase from relevant digital storefronts of all major consoles and PCs."

You're missing the thing here, it's not talking about their exclusive titles. It's just saying titles that they are releasing multi-platform will be available on their relevant storefronts and not require Xbox Game Pass.

XBOX should be a pillar of gaming. An absolute behemoth that could push the industry forward. But in truth, they're not. In truth, they couldn't be further from that. Zero mindshare. Zero momentum. Zero prospects beyond trying to get Microsoft to swallow the entire industry, for what amounts to a "technical win."

Well microsoft does have lots of zeros.

In the bank you filthy gamers 🤭

That is even worse, no game require gamepass...Do you have any better interpretation than something as obvious as water is wet?

Zenimax would have released starfield by now if they hadnt been bought by ms. Because of ms they get the time and resources needed for polish and bug fixes. In the end its a better outcome for everyone.

It's to a regulator. They are discussing concerns relating to making their games exclusive to Xbox Game Pass.

I honestly have no idea why you're having difficulty understanding that they're discussing a hypothetical...

Also water isn't wet. Water makes things wet.

Well that last part depends on whether it's buggy or not after it's out.

Additional time in the oven didn't help Cyberpunk for example.

Are you saying it whith the same trust and sources as Starfield and other zenimax games not being planned for playstation ?Because most people even in the known are not sure what is important to regulators but I am glad to know that you do.

Biggest issue with Cyberpunk was the last generation console versions. The PC was a significantly better experience and contributed to the higher scores at launch. I think that extra time certainly did good things on PC for sure.

And regulators are inching towards making iOS open to alternative AppStores as a general purpose computing device.

So…install non-AppStore apps. Like Windows.
just like in Android.

but i am talking about the STORES specifically.

IF that is MS's master plan....they are insane.

I still don't get the entire beef that EU has with Apple, its their own phone they can do jack shit they want. If you want it open just buy an Android.

It's a walled garden, that's the issue. I just hope that opening up won't make it less secure and private. Can't count on Android for that. But I digress.

They can do a Walled garden because its their property, you can install other stores apps freely on android, I don't even know why google is also accused in this mess, it seems for me that they want to force these companies to promote something they won't profit from.

Well it doesn't work that way. When someone buys an iPhone it becomes their iPhone, it's not Apple's iPhone anymore. It also has to do with monetization and allowing others to compete with Apple on their ecosystem which, in theory, will make it beter for consumers.

is not about the hardware is about the store.

Well i assume ms and zenimax know this is an important game for xbox. I dont care when it releases but it has to be good. No excuses.
True, but that doesn't guarantee that it's gonna be bug free.

The proof is in the pudding here tbh.

It had a ton of bugs even on next gen consoles, Sony even delisted the game for a bit.

Exactly? It's your phone and you should be able to install software from whatever source you desire. Plus by allowing other stores it creates more chances for competitive pricing.
Ok, I'm lost.

They're insane for wanting to have their own iOS store?
inside the App Store.
Inside the Play Station Store
Inside the Nintendo Store
Inside the Google Play Store.
Now apply this to consoles.

at your own risk, of course.

and it seems you can do that on iOs.

no you have to have a developer account and update it every week by plugging the phone to a computer

thanks to EU we have finally real sideloading like android
at your own risk: so people shouldn't use apps outside Mac store and windows store?

Zenimax informed you of this?

No, Pete Hines did

Wasn't this what Epic sued for and lost? Why are we expecting Microsoft to successfully argue that IOS should allow a new app store on their devices. I'm sincerely asking I'm not sure.
