This is absolutely brutal for anyone who purchased the stock since the CMA's previous u-turn.

All of the articles on seeking-alpha etc in the last few days creating exit liquidity. Hedge funds gonna hedge fund.

Can't help but laugh at all you idiots talking like this was a sure thing. This is why ya'll post on a game forum and aren't lawyers. Hope this is the end of this crap. We didn't need Microsoft buying them

I read through the addendum before and they highlighted that this did not eradicate their cloud concerns.

Curious to see if they just spin off the UK arm and let UK gamers get a worse deal while they run their appeals.

Also curious if they still rush ahead with closing the deal despite the FTC's complaints, as a few analysts predicted earlier.

Good.

People should buy the god damn games they want and like. This isn't a charity, shit costs money to make.

So if Microsoft are buying/making games specifically for Gamepass and we are paying for it to allow them to do it, we should also buy them as well.. Makes total sense, yes.

Omg is this who they call Mr. Denial? Can I get an autograph sir? I've followed your work for a long time

Over cloud gaming? Really?
What a pathetic response.

Microsoft had head start with subscription services? No shit Sherlock! Who stopped Sony from doing the same subscription service?

so they block it for real, wow, i'll read the reasons later.

I thought the 180 on consoles might also be a reason to make a Microsoft appeal more difficult if you fail, but it was really a weak theory.

I imagine that signing contracts with unknown providers who in 10 years would never have become competitors in the cloud even with cod didn't help

Wow, haha. Okay, I was expecting any possible thing might happen, but the WHY ended up being a twist I did not expect.

They didn't block it because of consoles. They blocked it because of CLOUD.

They're appealing it of course, but still. Very surprised. I don't think CMA wins an appeal on this specific matter, but that's me. As I always said, I'd be a big boy about the whole thing.
CMA is far more empowered than US regulators when it comes to stuff like this. There's a reason Sony lost its shit when they removed console SLC.

This will also provide ammunition to FTC as well, now they can cite CMA decision and go full-on on cloud gaming..

Didnt see this coming but honestly I stopped caring. The CMA is getting ahead of cloud and that can't be a bad thing. I guess COD might just survive instead of taking the Xbox poison pill and Xbox can either go 3rd party or actually use their damn studios and create games like PlayStation does.

One thing for sure though is Jim Ryan is a legend early on in his career as leader and has the chance to go down as the greatest leader of PlayStation ever but obviously that ultimately depends on the games.
