It's game over.I love how up and down this thing is. But Jesus let this be the end
CMA blockage will help EU case, and make their decisions easier for them.
CMA were the last hope for this deal. Now it won't see the day light

I already mentioned before, she comes across as that AOC angle on social media to reach the ignorant and emotional chest pumping fanatical youth.Personally, I find her to be very unprofessional for a high ranking executive of a company worth tens of billions. But it has created some great entertainment from the rabble!
Nope. Deal is dead. Ftc, and now cma.I think everybody is about to find out just how serious Microsoft is about this deal.
I never thought CMA would block, just as I didn't think FTC would block. which now puts what the EU will do up in the air.
However, I do believe Microsoft is more than willing to fight this as long as it takes to get the desired outcome. But it no doubt severely hinders any chance of it closing out by June, unless there's a big surprise from UK's secretary of state who can overrule CMA. Long shot lol.
I can’t believe I’m writing this, but you took this one like a champ. Props for honoring your bet.
The most creative solution is to go full third party, but that probably isn't what you wanted.100% it isn't. Microsoft isn't dropping this thing fellas. I don't know how else to say that, but get ready for some really creative "solutions." The only way this deal is stopped is if Activision Blizzard decides they want out.
I'm nothing if not a good sport, so I welcome the firing squad. Still not removing my money from Activision stock because there's still too much upside, but I made a bet with @thicc_girls_are_teh_best that I'm fully prepared to honor despite the appeal, unless he wants to wait for the appeal. However, should you decide that you want to collect, I'm ready to honor our game bet regardless of outcome. So just let me know and I'll get it done.
I don't flake on bets/promises, so fully prepared to make good on the game bet we made.
over cloud gaming? it's barely a marketNope. Deal is dead. Ftc, and now cma.
EU will follow them, and so others.
MS has no leg here.
At some point I think Activision says pay us the buyout fee and moves on. They can’t hamstring their business interests forever hoping to win the lottery.100% it isn't. At what point do we see Activision start speaking differently about Sony, their largest business partner? At some point I think Activision says pay us the buyout fee and moves on. They can’t hamstring their business interests forever hoping to win the lottery.
Oof, what happened there. Its why they killed the $1 Gamepass trials![]()
Yeah, I don't get it either. I would've liked the games on Game Pass, sure, but it's not like I can't just buy them.I can see why MS themselves are pissed, I can understand why ABK employees (and shareholders) are pissed. But honestly I can't see why any reasonable gamer would be particularly upset? Whatever platforms you have, this decision (if upheld) will mean you still have the same access to ABK games that you did previously.
MS needs to worry about EU.I mean, hey, if it is, then it is. We'll just have to see. Microsoft seems to not feel it's over. Maybe they're just being as optimistic as I am. We shall find out.
MS needs to worry about EU.
They lost both ft and now cma. Their last hope is eu.

lulu definitely gets fired within the next 12 months

Yes.Wasn't the EU demanding MS provide a download option for their cloud games? Starting to look like focusing on the Cloud was a way for the regulators to turn the screws.
SenjutsuSage said it correctly. It’s all about how long they are intoxicated by possibilities. I personally think they start protecting their business interests as soon as the deal allows them to demand payment. But I could be wrong. No doubt.
Ah there we go.I think everybody is about to find out just how serious Microsoft is about this deal.

If EU passes, maybe silver chance. The EU is where it's all at now basically.
Which Japanese publishers have been bought out? Stop worrying about it. Same for SquareEnix, Sega, Konami, etc.I hope this serves as a footprint to block big publisher acquisitions now. I don't want Capcom to be bought out.
I certainly got a big up seeing one of the worlds largest corporations get BTFO’d. Might have to change pants. Might just go pantsless. Twitter has been beautiful today.

Yup, now it’s about the cloud when those fakeass bitch senators were going after Sony’s dominance in the console business. They got played, lol.The FTC can block easily now....
Game over
apparently it is, as of now. I never thought their own cloud ambitions would bite them in the ass like this. seems like it was the CMA only real concern in the end. That trip to, 10 downing street is gonna be awkward, now!over cloud gaming? it's barely a market
They can pre-emptively market this failure, but not their games?A thing of fucking beauty. Remember to not celebrate until the game is over, kids!

She’ll be out of a job soon herself. She can’t threaten anyone.Reassess their growth? So she pretends to be concerned about UK citizens and threatens them at the same time? lol....ok
You kinda need to release games on a steady basis to make it as a third party. That seems to be a massive challenge for MS.The most creative solution is to go full third party, but that probably isn't what you wanted.
even if EU approved the FTC and CMA do not. I dont know what other card MS can play, but I think they are better of just paying off the 3Bn, and spending the rest on other smaller aquisitions. Maybe go after T2......or buy rockstar form T2 for a silly amount of money. and still buy other studios. They have options that to be honest...are far tastier than ABK even if they dont own the biggest grossing FPS in the world.MS needs to worry about EU.

He's likely getting tossed off by the Sony execs as we speak.Jim Ryan has to get a ton of praise for all of this and probably the keys to the castle.
