I've got an early day tomorrow, my friends. To bed with me....I'll try to satisfy all expectations of a meltdowns tomorrow......after coffee.....and breakfast......and maybe a foot massage from the missus.
Hopefuly it ends. It's possible, but the CMA put out a statement yesterday saying their final report remained unchanged. We'll find out tomorrow though if the global ban has been lifted, then MS is 100% closing.
I don't think anything like closing is going to happen tomorrow because the temporary restraining order is still valid until midnight Friday.
Nope waiting on the 9th Circuit Court of AppealsSo when I wake up tomorrow this deal should be closed.....right?
Looks like they're going with the thing I thought of as well.
Actors and writers are on strike as we speak... But I can think of several influencers who would happily write a scriptSomeones made a very good cast list for the inevitable movie

Tbh nobody thought they would block the decision because Cloud Gaming lol.Why didn't they do this from the jump? Too cocky/greedy? Or did they know they could always come back with this right away? I feel like this is like a worked shoot in wrestling
CMA arent gods. They can change their mind depending on the deal offer.
Their main issue has always been cloud. If MS gives up cloud rights, that means CMA would be ok with this approach, because MS wont be in a strong position with this deal in the cloud sector.
Remember that CMA doesnt consider about console sector. Its only cloud concern that they blocked this deal.
Because nobody thought they were gonna care about the cloud that much. There are like 5000 servers in the UK.Why didn't they do this from the jump? Too cocky/greedy? Or did they know they could always come back with this right away? I feel like this is like a worked shoot in wrestling

Selling cloud right is part of divesment, as MS wont have any control for cloud rights. The problem is they just reiterated that the current deal is blocked and no new remedies can be submitted.
They would accept a new restructured deal but that starts the investigation process over again.
Either the CMA is about to make themselves look like complete idiots or MS is closing over them and I have no idea what happens after that. My guess is on the latter happening.
Yes to gamepass, no to xcloud. So no Activision games on GamePass or xCloud in the UK?
I agree. CEOs like himself, bill gates, Steve jobs, Jeff besoz…. They are restless.Guys like Bobby never want to quit. It's not in their blood.
Monday, yes it could. So when I wake up tomorrow this deal should be closed.....right?
Someone else will probably handle it (XCloud, not Game Pass) for them in the UK I imagine, rather than it not being available…So no Activision games on GamePass or xCloud in the UK?
Everything's gonna happen tomorrow
Why wouldn't it satisfy the cma. If you block a deal cause you worried about Microsoft's cloud gaming g monopoly then if they give up cloud what is there left?I don't believe anything they say about this and that still wouldn't satisfy the CMA.
Everything's gonna happen tomorrow
Midnight tomorrow night California time
yes. She is thicc for a 44 years old women.Rosario Dawson as Sarah Bond is inspired casting, no ?
I feel there has been way more talks and discussions with the cma than we have been led on to believe, this is a huge deal a huge company with a lot of big people and huge money at stake here. And yea the cma tweets the tough stance they kinda have to do they don't seem weak or bullied.Someone else will probably handle it for them in the UK I imagine, rather than it not being available…
...this my personal hell I'll never be free.Hopefuly it ends.
We all deserve to be freed from this shit.
Yes to gamepass, no to xcloud.
take 2-3 week break and use icgonito to log in to this website....this my personal hell I'll never be free.
I think xbox is giving up more than ABK cloud.I still don't know how that would work. Having it on everybody else's cloud services in the U.K. except theirs? Maybe just no ABK games on any cloud service in the U.K.? I dunno.
I'm as curious as everybody else to know how that plays out. But clearly it's gonna be cloud related.
They are not destroying the platform. They are trying to become more competitive. And competition helps consumers. You seem to forget that we are consumers and gamers, as such we care about having access to more games and not less. So despite you trying to make it irrelevant, it is very relevant that Xbox is trying to destroy the gaming platform just because they are so bad at it and couldn't win. Yes, they want to make money, but what is in it for ME?
Then why a 10 year contract?Reality is that this was always about taking Call of Duty away from Playstation
I think xbox is giving up more than ABK cloud'

They said " small divestment"…..so we can't really know what to think. One things for sure is that it relates to cloud, not console or the separation of activision. MS wants the whole of ABK or none of it. So I don't see them agreeing to what you might be suggesting.
Gaming is already being destroyed by mobile practices. They are not destroying the platform. They are trying to become more competitive. And competition helps consumers.
And who knows. Maybe this deal will still fall through.
Agreed this has 100% to do with the cloud and future stuff no way ms walks away without all of activisionThey said " small divestment"…..so we can't really know what to think. One things for sure is that it relates to cloud, not console or the separation of activision. This merger takes it top notch and accelerate that destruction.
At the end of the day cma could still spin it like they won or did something concessions fines etcCMA would look beyond pathetic if they cave. MS has spent the last 3 months calling them corrupt, incompetent, and basically telling every UK politician that'll listen that they're destroying the country's economy. Reward that kind of behavior and you've essentially allowed MS to write a guidebook for future companies on how to bully the CMA into submission when they're being difficult.
Both companies still think it's possible to close the deal, which would be the largest ever in the video-game industry, before next week's deadline, the people said.
