But this sounds like they will farm it off to a third party
Microsoft will just buy the third party in ten years

Tomorrow is the new "Next Wednesday"So when I wake up tomorrow this deal should be closed.....right?
I meant they might be giving up some of their cloud rights in general not just ABKThey said " small divestment"…..so we can't really know what to think. One things for sure is that it relates to cloud, not console or the separation of activision. MS wants the whole of ABK or none of it. So I don't see them agreeing to what you might be suggesting.
thank god the CMA is looking out for consumers. consumers in the UK should have the right to pay an additional subscription lolMicrosoft Corp. and Activision Blizzard Inc. are considering giving up some control of their cloud-gaming business in the UK as a way to appease regulators so they can complete their $69 billion merger by the July 18 deadline, according to people familiar with the matter.
That could involve selling off the cloud-based market rights for games in the UK to a telecommunications, gaming or internet-based computing company, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing confidential planning. A private equity company might also be interested, said one person.

So what does this mean exactly? Microsoft wouldn't be able to make money off of their own cloud games in the UK? Seems silly..
what kind of abomination is this?!
Hmm if I were Microsoft id probably take that deal for this all to go through. They'd make money, not all of it, and they wouldn't control what service the platform is on
My ringtone since like 2012what kind of abomination is this?!

So in ten years the only place to play CoD on a PlayStation will be if you live in the UK and stream it through the cloud?
The CMA suggested selling all of ActivisionIt would be a no braine for MS, I don't know why they didn't do this in March of the cma was seriously going to consider it
I think its because they never got a call back from the CMA around that time..I could be wrong tho.It would be a no braine for MS, I don't know why they didn't do this in March of the cma was seriously going to consider it
Maybe Sony will and block the games.Microsoft will just buy the third party in ten years

Do you think will there be a nude scene?
No doubt Phil Spencer is fucking this.
When Disney was buying Fox they had to divest the Fox Sports channels (because they owned ESPN). The channels still exist exactly as they were before, they're just called Bally Sports now. So this would just be the same games with a different steaming wrapper.Microsoft Corp. and Activision Blizzard Inc. are considering giving up some control of their cloud-gaming business in the UK as a way to appease regulators so they can complete their $69 billion merger by the July 18 deadline, according to people familiar with the matter.

There will be, depending on the actor.Do you think will there be a nude scene?
Basically it means: "Hey guys, we'll give up the dumbest part of the deal, the niche of a niche market, so we can obtain "King"."So what does this mean exactly? Microsoft wouldn't be able to make money off of their own cloud games in the UK? Seems silly..
Bobby's gonna have a scene where he's using folded 100 dollar bills like a flesh lightThere will be, depending on the actor.
She had a great scene on the movie alexander.

Mtx, bugs, and half release games. How?
Mtx, bugs, and half release games.
Redfall and fallout 76 were victims of MTX and the seek for live service games. Halo got killed by live service model. Diablo is having issues with mtx.
This is beyond your favorite company, this is worldwide gaming issues. You did see how much Sony is about to spend on their own live service GaaS mtx stuff yeah? It's not just a Microsoft/Activision thing
No so far MS first offered a remedy that was denied and then they've offered another supposedly.Trying to keep up. MS and CMA have a deal, is that what I am reading?
We have Tom Warren on Twitter saying MS and CMA have a deal, and are waiting for the time to announce. In FTC land, Corley denied the motion to stay the merger pending the FTC's appeal, opening the gate for Microsoft to close the deal without waiting for the FTC (given the FTC is likely to lose their appeal).Trying to keep up. A U.S. federal court rejected the Federal Trade Commission's request that it order Microsoft (MSFT.O) to temporarily hold off on closing its $69 billion purchase of "Call of Duty" maker Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O), according to a court filing.
Sorry if this was already posted.

Why does the CMA have to wait to announce their deal? I think maybe they are still working on a deal and they will work it out over the weekend. The deal closes on Monday. I can't imagine MS not being able to work something out with the CMA if they are this close. The fact that the CMA decided to listen again makes me think MS was coming to them with a real solution instead of the 10-year deals they were handing out like candy on Halloween. We have Tom Warren on Twitter saying MS and CMA have a deal, and are waiting for the time to announce. It's not something that will be done in a week.It added that any revised agreement may face a full, new investigation by the CMA.
A spokesman said: "Whilst merging parties don't have the opportunity to put forward new remedies once the final report has been issued, they can choose to restructure the deal, which can lead to a new merger investigation.
"Microsoft and Activision have indicated that they are considering how the transaction might be modified, and the CMA is prepared to engage with them on this basis."
The CMA said discussions with Microsoft remained at an "early stage".
A spokesman said the competition watchdog had not changed its original position on the deal, saying: "The CMA decision set out in its final report still stands."
I think it's the same one we've been talking about with Corley denying their stay request.
You know, it actually seems to be just a headline.
Anyway, Its Court of Appeals we're waiting to hear from. If articles mention District it's old news. Need Court of Appeals news.

It was posted almost 2 hours ago when it was just announced. People are waiting for the other news when it comes to the FTC's appeal. No, it's not old news...it literally just posted an hour ago.
And how would the 9th have anything to share right now? They got the appeal last night.
This is denying the FTC the motion to delay the deal yet again.
It is old news for me anyway. No, it's not old news...it literally just posted an hour ago.
