Phil Spencer and Destin were two of them. The day that will live in infamy. One should never forgive Sony for the $30 million they paid to take away Ballistix from the 7 people who played it.

Neither Microsoft nor Activision has responded to Yahoo Finance's requests to confirm if and when the deal will close. Microsoft also didn't reply immediately to a request for comment on the gamers' motion.

Microsoft and Activision were supposed to merge today. Will they hit pause?
The biggest-ever video game merger that was scheduled to close July 18 still faces some hurdles.finance.yahoo.com
Square also likely wouldn't have made FF mainline titles PS exclusive if there was an actual audience for them on the Xbox.
yeah, there's other inaccuracies but the COD one was the most blatantly false portrayal because he's clearly trying to make it seem like Sony was somehow trying to make COD exclusive when they had nothing to do with thatZenimax was looking for exclusive deals.
Making COD exclusive? I thought MS was afraid of ABK walking away if they did not agree to a deal for the percentage cut.
These guys try to hard to make MS look innocent LOL
How the fuck have they not been negotiating an extension for weeks at this point as a contingency? It should be ready to sign off at this point.Still waiting?
Here's some clarity for what Tom was talking about earlier.

Sony has been locking down exclusivity on pens. MS is trying to negotiate a buyout of Bic to combat this.
I'm surprised there has been no real news about the merger yet today. Maybe a free 3 Billion without selling anything is more enticing than I thought this morning.
Oh yes, damage control forever now.Is he one of the clown shoes (along with Wish store Shaggy) that said you can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p unless you have a 50" screen or am I thinking of someone else?![]()
that one report said Microsoft is trying to get ABK to agree not to entertain other offers now that their original deal is expiring, it's kinda interesting that would even be a possibilitySomeone either wants more or wants out.
If it's the latter we won't get an announcement until the end of the day.
could be they also want to see if anyone offers them more than $95 a share now and have the freedom to be able to walk away from Microsoft to take a better offerI think so to but I do find it weird that they still haven't got an extension signed. Maybe Activision does intend on waiting but wants to refrain from signing anymore deals so they have more control over when they can walk away.

It's pointless to walk away when they think they have even CMA in the bag with a XCloud divestement in the UK.
I guess they will extend until the end of August at the same $/share.
The biggest issue with the extension was negotiating a long one until 2024, that would have been unlikely but the developments with FTC and CMA have changed the scenario.
No one is going to cry for an extra month...unless Kotick lost confidence in the deal months ago and has an other buyer lined up offering more and with much less expected legal issues. But it's unlikely.
MS is the only company in the world with "professional" journalists cheering them and working for them. it is bizarre, they have an army of fanboys on twitter and "journalists".The shills in the gaming media are truly embarrassing. I would say Sony need to step up, but the thought of more types like Destin's, Corden's or Warren's....

lol, because Microsoft hasn't been laying thousands of people off themselves lately either (and wouldn't be doing that after acquiring ABK with all the redundancies)Microsoft would need to either offer them ridiculous premium on top of those 69 billions to make sure no one tops their offer or live in uncertainty that any second Amazon or Tencent can snatch the deal out of their hands. I like that move very much, very Kottick-like.

Yes, for example an dictator ship like in Russia and China and North Korea is way better, the people are happy theyr and have a great life...when they stay low profile and dont say anything bad about theyr leaders. Thats much better then a Democracy....right???Democracy and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
I don't think the person you quoted is even capable of understanding how dumb that comment is, considering they thought it was a rational thought worth posting in the first place.Yes, for example an dictator ship like in Russia and China and Notrh Korea is way better, the people are happy theyr and have a great life...when they stay low profile and dont say anything bad about theyr leaders. I'll be interested to see what happens to Actiblizz's current teams. Would Microsoft perhaps move people in from their current studios to fill in people cut from Actiblizz?Honestly some of these people are so naive it's unreal. As if good guy Microsoft don't make layoffs and wont see many of the Activision Blizzard employees as surplus to requirements the moment this acquisition closes.
I did think you were serious. I apologize.dang, thats a bit harsh. I guess the meme copypasta went over yall's heads?
Also, perhaps it stands to reason that there are other forms of government in between "democracy" and "dictatorship"? Sorry I said mean things about your sacred cow.
Anyways, it was a joke and I wont go any further to avoid bs derailing.
How was the Supreme Court ? Did you have a good time ?I'm fine with democracy as long as my vote outweighs all the peasants

And there is basically no history in which a Microsoft acquisition or even their friggin licenses last for more than a 10 year period without a steep decline from mismanagement. There were so many MS games studios releases from the late 90s-2000s that they absolutely squandered in due time. They've been doing this for 25 years.Honestly some of these people are so naive it's unreal. As if good guy Microsoft don't make layoffs and wont see many of the Activision Blizzard employees as surplus to requirements the moment this acquisition closes.
Wait what they did with Diablo 4? What was in the notes? After reading the latest patch notes for diablo 4, I don't think PS will miss much anyway. Let it happen lads lmao, ABK is dead, 70bn down the drain
How was the Supreme Court ? Did you have a good time ?

You dont have to wonder...Hell would would be braking out on this Forum and Sony would be the cancer of the gamingindustry...I wonder how certain salty 'anti merger' folks in this thread would feel had it been Sony jumping through all these hurdles to buy ABK?
Just a thought.
All I'll say is the Supreme Court is Supremely Fucked after they showed me the door
Wait what they did with Diablo 4? What was in the notes?
I'm just surprised Clarence didn't end you.

They nerfed everything under the sun. Massive two fingers up to those who have been taking their time with the game.
