GTA VI Official Trailer

Context matters:

Okay, so it's an open world game with a ton of people, a lot going on, and probably a fucking enormous map with solid visual fidelity. What's your point? :messenger_beaming:

Just imagine - this will release three years after Saints Row.
They look two generations apart from each other.

I can remember the shouts 15 years ago when people were saying that Saints Row was a serious contender to take the throne away from GTA.

R* has a history of releasing every single trailer with in-engine and mostly in-game scenes, they released RDR2, a game that still beats most modern games in terms of graphics and details on a fucking PS4 and Xbox One, and yet somehow some people still think this trailer is cgi, why? :pie_expressionless:

I'm used to no PC day one, it's always been that way since GTA 3, so i'm not surprised although i think they should release it on PC day 1, but Rockstar will be Rockstar.

I haven't seen anyone here say its CGI, just in-engine

When AAAA games look this good, what's even the point in making AAA games? Worst tier all around. Indie -> AA - > AAAA is all we really need. After this trailer I have no use for AAA anymore.

I too will probably buy a PS5 to play this.

I am surprised they didn't go with 2024 first, so that they would later delay it to 2025. Take Two said it was on track for late 2024-spring 2025.

I truly hope it won't be a late 2025 release. But yeah, what can ya do.

Heh, Jason looks a bit like a young Arthur.

I've watched the trailer a dozen times already. Getting a real Netflix Orange is the New Black vibe with the opening scene. Good sign for the story direction. First impression looks like a parole story x Breaking Bad x Bonnie Clyde.

The cityscape looks incredible. These lighting, reflections, pop density, character models, the sweat and reflections on individual models at the beach, LOD, that car meet purely illuminated by car lights and smoke, the dirt rally mud, all jaw dropping.

Rockstar is back.

Vice city was always the best gta for me, so this looks absolutely INCREDIBLE.

2025 sucks huge ass though.

Looks great. We can trust Rockstar in that their trailers are pretty much what we're going to get without tricks or fluff in the actual game. RDR2 is a perfect example of this.

The industry needs a solid game like this, the last few years since covid haven't been that great in my opinion and it's been a lot of hype, fluff, and BS.

I expect this release in 2025 will break all kinds of crazy records day 1.

I just really want to see Rockstar being as brave as CDPR when it comes to adult stuff after that ridiculously tame RDR2, because they undoubtedly CAN, nobody's gonna stop the GTA VI train. Imagine Sony/Microsoft having a say whatsoever in what this game can and cannot do.

Even the butt of the joke on the top right in that pic got fully rendered boobs four times bigger than her acress model and could look like this in her game:

Seriously Rockstar, if CDPR can, you can too and twice as hard.

Just please, please have tons more interiors this time around.

And a decent, fun hand to hand combat system. But it's gonna take a long ass while before we see that in a new trailer, I'm sure.

Rockstar are usually not very good at hair physics but it seem even that aspect is very polished in this gane

Yes I was definitely checking out the hair in this shot too

Lmao. Yeah, just walking around in this game world is gonna be awesome with NPCs doing all kinds of different shit and with a evolved RDR2 interaction system.
