As he gently drops it in the trash, couldn't even be bothered to make it look real. Xbox has no real fans.
Some of us are out there . Look at my post history, you may fall asleep reading it but I criticise because I'm a fan

Phil Spencer Won The Most Number Of Major Industry Awards In 2022. This man won more awards than people that actually makes games. More than people that achieved more with less. Absolute fraud. Think about that, 2022 when xbox had zero first party AAA.
He'll shill for chairs.Maybe this guy isn't too bright, so I don't want to kill him for this, but if he can't figure out why a software company benefits from having a wide variety of software that it could put on lots of different hardware platforms, and why this could work out better than throwing endless resources at your own unpopular platform, I dunno what to say.
Not really since their biggest games have been multi-platform the entire generation. This seems like business as usual. Is anyone really surprised?
But there's a difference. PlayStation games come to PC months to years later, because they don't need that platform to help carry their games. Xbox isn't in that situation.True.
It feels like yesterday when PlayStation fans just knew PlayStation games weren't coming to PC though.

Will be interesting to see how their policy evolves after Helldivers 2 success. The 4 games Xbox are making multiplatform are also over a year+ old.But there's a difference. seriously. let's not jump the gun here, & let's first give phil a chance to even further confuse us...Waiting for Phil to explain it with more context.
Sony will eventually put all games day 1 on PC. You can already see it with Hell Divers 2 and the president talked about being more aggressive with PC games recently. But there's a difference. PlayStation games come to PC months to years later, because they don't need that platform to help carry their games. Xbox isn't in that situation.
A few years behind Xbox? No. They're not putting their games on Xbox because they don't need to. Xbox is doing this because they do.They're just a few years behind XBox.
All of PlayStations biggest games this generation (GAAS) will benefit from being day and date PC. The single player studios are leaving money on the table by not doing that.
By the time PS6 gets here I expect day and date for all games.

PC? Maybe, but that won't be anytime soon. And, that's also irrelevant because I was talking about PS → Xbox. Not sure why y'all keep quoting about PC day-and-date.
What optimization does PlayStation earn by putting their games on Xbox?Business isn't about need. It's about optimization.
What optimization does PlayStation earn by putting their games on Xbox?
I wasn't ever talking against this idea (although it is a ways off as Sony obviously wants to sell hardware), so you've been wasting your time quoting me.I'm talking about putting their single player games on PC day and date. As budgets go up and the PC audience slowly grows, it'll be too hard to pass up.
As a PC gamer, I say it won't happen. Because we lost TES to console despite the PC being the best place to play TES. Because Console is where the money is. There is no pot of gold in PC, if there were then Bethesda wouldn't have used controller UI for Skyrim.Sony will eventually put all games day 1 on PC. You can already see it with Hell Divers 2 and the president talked about being more aggressive with PC games recently.
1. Devalue their first party games and condition their audience to not buy gamesWell then Sony should do the same.
That picture is wrong. It's meant to ask Xbox fans to "flip to Switch"You should know better to than just take xbox for their word.

It's coming. Question is when?
Can't stand this guy. Literally had to close youtube as he sat there and kept parroting "The industry is changing" and implying it wasn't just Xbox. No Parris its just Xbox and the industry isn't changing because Xbox is changing.
They're just a few years behind XBox.

Their messaging is ALL OVER the place!I think whoever handles that twitter account just made a grave mistake when trying to echo what Spencer said in that podcast. No matter the intent, this might just set the house ablaze again.
They have to now. They're going to be compared to Playstation 1st party directly on the same platform.
Are you just joking around, or ???Not really since their biggest games have been multi-platform the entire generation. This seems like business as usual.
MS does this all the damn time.
Whenever they pivot they say that "THIS IS THE ONLY FUTUTRE - EVERYBODY FOLLOW US NOW!"
Online DRM console is the only future.
Digital is the only future.
Cloud is the only future.
Gamepass is the only future.
Multiplatform games the only future.
It's where the whole SonyToo (TM) nonsense comes from.
Did you get your PR script straight from MS?
PlayStation is not a game publisher first, they know that game publishing has small margins, now matter how many platforms you reach.
Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Valve and Epic know that being the platform holder is where the money is.
The problem is that the Xbox platform failed, so they had no choice to switch to becoming a game publisher first and foremost.
And now they are screaming that the "Multiplatform is the future!" because they're were forced into it.
And now there's a wave of xbox fans parroting the SONY TOO to make them feel better about themselves.
I wasn't ever talking against this idea (although it is a ways off as Sony obviously wants to sell hardware), so you've been wasting your time quoting me.
My point from the beginning was about Microsoft and Sony porting games and why. They are in two completely different situations and the topic of discussion is about Microsoft porting all of their big games to other consoles.![]()
I told you so.My point from the beginning was about Microsoft and Sony porting games and why. They are in two completely different situations and the topic of discussion is about Microsoft porting all of their big games to other consoles.![]()
It's all politics, you see.Phil Spencer Won The Most Number Of Major Industry Awards In 2022. This man won more awards than people that actually makes games. More than people that achieved more with less. Absolute fraud. Think about that, 2022 when xbox had zero first party AAA for the whole year.
Once again, you're completely overlooking the fact that SEGA, NINTENDO, SONY, XBOX and VALUE want to be platform holder first and foremost.Nah, this is all wrong. All wrong indeed.
Game budgets skyrocketing and the rise of social gaming means limiting your audience to a single piece of plastic makes less and less sense.
PlayStation is already putting 60% of their resources (GAAS) day and date on PC. Capping the other 40% is going to look more and more foolish as they look at what they could be making on PC.
We've seen this trend happening for years too. There was a time when Sega, Nintendo, and Playstation were considered the biggest game makers in the world. Now EA, Ubisoft, ABK, Tencent and others have all caught up because they've had the advantage of releasing on all platforms.
Hell, look at everyone freaking out over the Helldivers 2 sales splits. That plastic box is worrying to a lot of people.
At this point MS need to include online therapy package as part of the gamepass subscription.
You're almost there and you don't even see it.Kek what console warrior clickbait, all of this is already the case. Spencer already said so with games like Fortnite and Roblox being multiplatform and the biggest games of the console industry not Gears 5, Halo, Spiderman or Uncharted. On top of this Xbox's biggest games are already on more than one platform and this has been the case since 2018 lmao.
Sony will eventually put all games day 1 on PC. You can already see it with Hell Divers 2 and the president talked about being more aggressive with PC games recently.

From now on MS should put a suicide hotline phone number on the box of every Xbox Series X console they sell.
Uh, no. You're telling yourself something you want to happen.I told you so.
NoHe's right, the biggest games are multiplatform.
Just looked at the top selling games of all time and, unsurprisingly, the 3 top selling games are multiplatform. Minecraft and GTAV are the two best selling games of the modern era, GTAV is nearly 200M, Minecraft is 300M).
Nintendo has done quite well in selling a lot of exclusive games. MS did well to buy up the top selling game of all time (Minecraft at 300M). Sadly, I can't say the same for Sony, whose highest selling game is Horizon, which was helped a few million by PC. Luckily Sony is bringing more and more games to PC![]()
Topping out at 20M is abysmal compared to the multiplatform games. Minecraft = 300M. GTAV = 200M20 million units
It's like some are just coming in here challenging each other to see who can throw bullshit the furthest!
Don't show Nintendo. Funny how everyone always wants to leave out Nintendo as well. Only one of the two high end console is having sales issues.
That's by design.Their messaging is ALL OVER the place!
