I really liked Darksiders 1 , its a healthy mix of Zelda puzzles,God of War combat,exploration and overall good design

This entire series has never quite clicked with me. They've all been okay, but I've never felt compelled to finish them. On a side note though, Joe Madureira can go fuck himself. If you're going to start a comic book, finish the goddamn thing you prick.

2nd game is one of my favourites. Hope it plays like that! Really enjoyed the first and the 3rd too though so as long as it follows any of the 3, they can't go wrong. Was not too keen on the last one although I enjoyed that it was a co-op experience.

Why does everyone hate 2?

I liked it. It had great combat and Death is cool.
But it changed the formula quite a bit focusing more on bigger open areas and loot.
Also the second half felt rushed, you have these pretty cool 2 areas at first, but then it's like they realized the money was running out and they still had 40-50% of the game left to make.

I hate 2 because is boring and the graphics are a bit downgrade in comparison with the first one.

And add skill tree doesn't help either. Bunch of RNG weapons and showing damage counter make even less appealing.

Since that game, the rest of the 3 horsemen have all gotten their own individual games. Logic dictates there's nowhere else to go at this point.

For me it's II. Played the first half 3 times on different platforms but somehow never finished. Can't get it running on steamdeck (original version) but going to try and finish before the new ones released.

I feel you can't really compare the previous game, except 1 & 2, since they're so different from one another. I also loved them all though and excited to see what they do next.
