I wish this wasn't Quest 3 exclusive.I wish this wasn't VR
This. Oculus, Valve and Sony need to sit down and figure out something so the VR industry has a future. I don't care if they financed it, there is no reason for games like Assassin Creed and medal of honor to be stuck on oculus devices years after they bombed. Same with Resident Evil on ps platforms and Valve gatekeeping Alyx.I wish this wasn't Quest 3 exclusive.

if your room is big enough, yeahcan I actually WALK down a alley?
If you have a PSVR2 you are missing the PSVR1 games and native Quest games.
PSVR1 you're missing PSVR2 and native Quest games.
Quest 2/3 you're just missing the PSVR1/2 games.
It's not as divided as you think. Compared to consoles anyway. And Sony breaking compatibility is the biggest offense IMO, at least Meta kept Quest 3 backwards compatible with all Quest 2.
The ability to run games on the headset itself with no cables/wires allows for content that is easier to experience than wired too, especially if we're talking the casual market who don't have a PC with a 4090 GPU.
Nah. I'm pretty sure the Quest 3 is selling pretty good. These influencers are like half the people that'll get to play this game.

True, but it's still the smallest subset of VR users I believe. So it won't sell a lot.
I think that belongs to PSVR2.True, but it's still the smallest subset of VR users I believe. So it won't sell a lot.

I really don't think it's as close as you think. But maybe you're right.Maybe, probably pretty close atm. I wonder what the sales are like now that they had the sale that moved headsets, and this adapter selling out everywhere.
There's a rumored new version of Quest 3 to come out this fall. Maybe that might bundle with Batman, like how the Quest 3 bundled with Asgards Wrath 2.I had decided I wasnt buying a q3.
I guess I changed my mind, hopefully theres a bundle.
They really do. Just add to the immersion, which is the most important thing with VR.So nice to see real time shadows in a quest game. It makes such a difference.

The lead devs look like a small, focused group of dudes who love the franchise and love VR. And no token women on the interviews or any other nonsense. This will be good.
The only minor negatives I caught in those videos:
although, that actually sounds a lot like Arkham Asylum. Maybe it's good to go back to the roots instead of the large city experience.
- not open in any meaningful way; more of a central hub area of some sort and otherwise linear objectives branching out from it
- no major sidequests, one path
- roughly ~10 hour estimate for main story? based on one reviewer who presumably heard it from the team
I would actually enjoy driving the Batmobile through the full city in VR in a sequel, though. Maybe if it's successful it will happen.
Alyx is at least available on any headset you have. Meta used to be shockingly open, but are locking their shit down now with the Quest 3 - freezing out PCVR even with their own store.This. Meta has never really been open. Back in the Oculus Rift days, when they made PCVR games they were exclusive to their store AND headsets (though you could bypass that with ReVIVE). The Quest took off because it doesn't need a PC, and that is part of the reason they don't make PCVR games anymore because PCVR games sell minuscule amounts. The other part is that they want to be like the Nintendo of VR, making games exclusively for their systems.Alyx is at least available on any headset you have. The two heavies on the game (director and producer) are totally all in on the game. You can feel their passion for this product. I can't wait to give them my money for their game. The lead devs look like a small, focused group of dudes who love the franchise and love VR. Everything you just said makes it sound way better. Less bloat. The team did say there is side content and collectibles though. The only minor negatives I caught in those videos:
