I won't buy it or the standard ps5 pro because I refuse to be scammed by sony professionally and then get unprofessionally scammed again by the scalpers. Anyone buying this from scalpers in particular, paying insane prices, deserves to be scammed.
 
They're doing a raffle for it at the store I usually purchase from, so I guess they're guaranteed to get some unit(s) at least. I don't expect to be lucky enough to win though, but I entered because.. why not.

Love the design of it.

Here in Aus we had two retailers get the 30th anniversary Pro console. One was EB games where you had to be a level 5 member to buy one, and the other retailer had a ballot system, open until 29th and they will announce all the people successful on the 4th October to pre order.

I'm in the ballot but to be level 5 with EB you would need to have spent a shit ton.

My friend reached level 5 but it only lasts for 12 months if you don't keep on being an EB whale.

They kinda screwed up that market opportunity now right. If they started selling plates then that would piss off all the folks that paid for the anniversary bundle.

Since PS3, when I had problems with Fat and Slim, that I don't buy any console at launch.

I'm in for the fun, had 4 minutes to buy it. It's a cool design no doubt but I will wait.
Maybe SE makes a Kingdom Hearts 4 one in the future and I put it together with my PS4 Pro Limited Edition of 3.

Won't help, the middle is still black instead of grey. But if you are happy with plates, your best bet is China (Aliexpress, Temu etc.) in a couple of months.

I have to admit, I was wrong about Sony doing the bare minimum to discourage scalpers from scalping the AE.

Perhaps they just write off the cost from Scalpers returning their AE as a marketing expense? Trying to generate FOMO for the normal Pro?

Congrats to the 4 who got theirs!

To the rest of us, do a google search for "PS5 Plates" and you'll find hundreds of examples of the same heat resistant decals that they use in Nascar for engine hoods, but for PS5

The market is doing its due diligence and I'm seeing some other sellers today advertising $20 for anniversary edition PS5 Pro plates, coming in November

No it was sold out immediately, also I had a weird issue that once the queue was over for me there was no PS5 Pro section on the website at all.
I had to refresh for 5 minutes and at that point it was sold out.

I tried, I was in the line fairly early and still it was sold out when I finally got onto the site...so I ordered the basic bitch PS5 Pro model like a peasant
 
PS Pro is pointless. PS5 runs games fine for me.
PSpro 30th is cool color but not worth $700+ so no.

I find it shocking (ok not shocking but ridiculous) that people who were up and arms over this thing are now buying over a trailer to 1 game, a game that has potential to be woke and possibly shit. I would never buy a console over 1 game, especially not a console that is just a resolution bump on what I already own.
 
My PS5 is hidden behind my TV, so I was happy with the regular Pro. I do sort of want that Dual Sense Anniversary though.
 
You should an extra option: got one in the cart but lost it while getting errors during payment because Sony's site is running on a potato.
 
Hoping to get one when it opens in my region. It would provide excellent resale value for whenever PS6 is out or if I just want to cash out.
