U saw miss alabama 2024, bro? Cant u tell something is wrong when human being looking like this wins miss title?

They call her "plus size" but from my pov, as eastern european, she has more pluses than intel 14nm manufacturing process :messenger_ok:

Over here in the states we call that a land whale.

Oh man. I hope Matty survives this. He seems like a good guy. I think he's actually not anti-woke at all based on what I've seen. He works for Colin, though. 🙏
Hope he survives being honest? What a world we live in really.

Edit: I see it not about the review but something else i think.

edit: Since people are still doubting, yes it is real.

Christ, every face looks like it's had an Instagram filter put over it.

Oof. I just watched Skill Up's review. His comments about the writing were devastating. It sounds awful.

.. and the examples he used to make his point in the video weren't wrong. The part where he spoke about how lines of dialogue sound like the main character is talking down to children was spot on.

I remember when people said that when SJW mentally ill people are at the head of development it won't impact the game at large, can't wait to see how Indiana Jones turns out.

I've just seen XboxEra's first draft of their review, even though they have not played it fully yet, it's an outstanding example of the value of GamePass. 9/10.

Going through SkillUp review. TBH wokeness is not the biggest issue of this game, this is:

I mean, WTF, is the target audience the 8 year olds? Jesus....

Dear lord. This is 10 standard deviations below bad YA novel writing.

Timecoded video:

Sweet Baby Jesus (inc), that was hilariously bad

Review itself sounds similar to SkillUp, and well argued, so it is hard to have any hope for this to be enjoyable RPG for adults

Yeaaaaaah. I didn't play the originals but over the years I've seen a plethora of playthroughs and gameplay videos. It was certainly enough to get an idea of the writing and the character building.

The writing and character interactions in Veilguard sound so watered down compared to previous Bioware games. Which, we all kind of expected. But yeah, wow, the "conflicts" and how they're "resolved" really do feel like something from a children learning show or something. I have no idea how anyone on that team would think this is a good idea.

Low 80's is the new 5/10 as far as im concerned these days.

Well some of the most fun games I've played this year were in the low 80s, such as Stellar Blade. The problem is when you call a game like this a "return to form" for Bioware, then wtf do they mean? Because Bioware in their prime were putting out GotY contenders left and right.

Yeah of course I'm exaggerating but you know what i mean. ;)

The big publishers used to threaten GAF with blacklisting for allowing negative opinions and press. It was hilarious, since I never took their payola to begin with.

Really indicative of the people at the top, too. "Wouldn't it be a shame if I were to...continue not giving you early access? A shame, that..."

Ryan Gosling Clap GIF

Would have been funnier if the game scored low but I'm happy I preordered can't wait!

This is definitely picking up GOTY.

There's no reason anyone in their right mind would vouch for it in such a spot.

That's why it's 100% happening.

imo at the end of the day it doesn't matter, if a Starwars game didnt sold well nowadays, imagine a woke Dragon Age game ( that is a franchise lost for many ), there isn't enough modern audience out there to make this game a success despite the reviews, it ll die and Bioware may too.

Such a shame that the magical depth, charisma and compelling brilliance of Origins is set never to return. Instead we have what looks like a box ticking, bland, uninspired, slice of mediocrity.

Well that certainly explains why certain other forums are the way they are then.

A lot of modern writers do this. They won't allow tension or real conflict (or darkness, in this case) to exist. They have to defuse things right away and "keep everything light." I hate that shit.

Yeah, it was painful to watch.

The way they psychologize out loud about themselves, too, so cringey. It's probably how the writers themselves talk.

In the end it's as EviLore EviLore said - the director made the game she/he/they wanted to make. Their gender identity is central to their interaction with gaming medium. I find bringing real life issues into fantasy worlds an antithesis of escapism, which video games should be, but the director disagrees.

Wow, he almost didn't have anything positive to say about the game.

Environments looked nice and it ran well... That's about it. (Maybe he adds something else later; I turned it off halfway through as I'd heard more than enough).
