Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

Flavor text/lore for the item.

These are usually quotes from some character or historian talking about events that happen in an earlier time period. They usually relate to the item they are attached to.

Also...that is a great drop for the ranger. 100% guaranteed projectile split and increased projectile speed without gems is a great find.
Crap does that mean I should start a third character? I have a Witch in Act 2 and a Monk who pretty much just started.

Bout ready to call it on the game. It just feels like a slog and a chore. Act 3 took the wind out entirely from me. It was as long as Act 2 and half of act 1 put together.

The idea of redoing all 3 acts, and all the quests to keep full clearing every insanely large map with piss poor mobility is just not it. They missed the mark immensely on this game. For how inspired it is by Diablo 2 you would think movement speed would have come up in the designing phase to get people to Stealth armor buff base speed ASAP.

The maps are just too big. Half the size would be ideal to me, but i'd settle shaving off a third. I also cannot stand all the mobs respawning if I happen to die. It's worse than level down in final fantasy xi online. I fucking loathe it.

I can't believe my most anticipated game of 7+ years is this big of a let down. Mind you it's good, but I can't subject myself to the tedium anymore. There is no reward feeling whatsoever in the game. It's just constant torture without dopamine the longer you play it...

That sucks that the game isn't meeting your expectations :(

Maybe take a break for a bit until they do that patch they just announced? The checkpoint feature sounds like a good QoL addition for your issues.

If you want to do more zoom zoom, give this build a try.

Throw it in your stash and save it if you make a ranger.

The legendary items are in most cases build defining and can last you quite a while especially when augmented with the crafting items. I say keep playing the classes you enjoy now (I want to try a monk out myself) and if you want to roll a ranger do it after you have some twink gear you can give them to make the climb to lvl 16 (for the bow) easier.

Hitting some walls that I can only assume are Early Access related. I was fighting the boss in the Bone Pit and the game got super stutters and then I died while I couldn't see what was going on. I had to repeat the fight a few times before I got lucky and won.

Trying out some boots from the stash that leave electric sparkles on the floor. I think the sound effect is going to force me to change, audio sounds corrupt when I move :D

Have no answer to act 2 end boss right now, not even close after first 3 attempts.

I've honestly never really gotten into this genre. What's the point of early access? Should I be playing this now or waiting until a formal release?
The content is big for an Early Access. The game has some flaws like some of the maps are too big etc.
But the game is pretty good polished for an EA.
I would say it's really worth it.

Aww man, twice in a row I turned a magic item into a rare item before I added the second magic modifier on the item. Two mod rare items FTL.

Don't drink and craft!

Act 1 boss finally dead, I'm a slow but meticulous player. Rentahamster I cannot figure out how to send you my last 25 to help pay for the inventory..any hints are appreciated. I'll research .

I think you should be able to do that in the MTX shop (press m), then it's the area on the upper left where there are the coins.

Doing fine on act 1 on cruel. It's easier than act 3 but you get more exp, so that's nice. I think there's some new normal mobs as well.

Not super excited about doing it all over again, but I want to see that endgame.

You know what? I'm actually surprised how stable this has been for me on PC. No hard crashes and only on Friday and Saturday there was ques for me. I get in straight away now. Sure there are bugs and balancing issues but I think this has been the smoothest EA game that I have had! I was seriously expecting worse!

Just finished the battle with

the gold guy in the trench. Awesome setpiece. Normally I hate Demon Wall fights but it's clearly an important DPS-check; if a person doesn't get their skills and supports in order the upcoming acts are going to be a Hard Time. Can already see that starting with the 400 BC Utzaal map.

For all my kvetching, at moments this game really is too good to be an F2P title. This mornings Rapid Response tweaks shows they really are trying to dial it in and I'm here for it.

I screwed up because I forgot I had a steam account linked to POE1 (under an ID I forgot I had). Now I have two accounts, 1 linked to steam and the other linked to PSN. I cannot unlink either one of them so I sent an email to support to unlink my steam account so I can add it to my new account.

Wind dancer on my Ranger, it's pretty cool. Does a lot of retaliate dmg plus it's like a free cosmetic. The wind flying around me looks great.

Guys, for fucks sake, game is out in EARLY ACCESS for 4 days. What did you expect? Polished with everything balanced? They already said they will do a patch this week to adress most of the concerns. They will improve it with time and good feedback.

My sorceress was doing a-ok damage but dying easily so I invested in energy shield lassives. Bad choice. Luckily I was lvl 16 or so, and respec to more dmg worked.
I don't get the high "penalties" for trying things out.

I returned the unique The Sentry Gothic Quaterstaff back to the guild stash for anybody that's playing monk. It's up for grabs to use. Just return it when your done so others can use it.

I found a nice quarterstaff in the NPC shop, so I bought it to put in the crafting tab in the guild stash. Good luck to whoever sticks a Regal Orb in that thing.

Edit: I just found an +2 skills bow too. I'll stick that in there.

Yeah GAF and Reddit expect exquisite balance and 400 hours of content minimum

Silly question but does putting points in Int actually increase spell damage? I have probably spent 7-8 skill points on +5 Int.

My Witch is a level 20 and I'm thinking of starting another character. Firewall, ice blast and lightning does ok-ish on Act 2. I feel like I should try someone else. I saw an insane poison gas build.

INT increases your mana. But it sorta indirectly buffs your damage, because the higher skill level of the skills you use, the more mana cost they have.

Well, I'm in.

The font is awful even on a big TV and my eyes are still pretty good lol.

I'm already anxious about all the menus and magic and item slotting. But damn it feels good to beat up some zombies with a staff!

I had a disconnect already. That sucked.

I have a little background roleplay for my monk and we'll see how that plays out.

Is there a Guild ruleset anywhere? Rules about sharing items, loot etiquette, general Dos and Donts, etc.
I'd really like to participate and I don't want to be a problem haha. Thank you for your patience with me!

Just put back stuff when done with it and anything you think might be useful to others stick it in there. Try not to be as untidy as my wife.

I guess the purpose of EA here is to balance the game and add content. It is, in essence a PvE game, and so the combination of player classes and the individual build players come up with can greatly affect and even break gameplay.

But in terms of playability and stability right now, I'd say it is as good or better than many equivalent games at full release.

If you're not sure about the genre, PoE1 is available free to play and there are other options too.

The "daddy" in the genre is Diablo. A lot of people say that series has gotten worse with time, but you can probably try out Diablo 2 for cheap these days and that is probably the high point of that series to date. But it is missing a lot of modern features - even the D2 re release from a couple of years ago - so just be aware of that.
