Just got my first god pack pulling Mythical Island. Got a Vaporeon, 2 Aerodactyl Ex, and 2 Crown Mew Ex. It's also my first crown pull and I'm level 27. I don't pvp much and I'm out of the loop on meta decks. Is Mew Ex any good?

the card you get is predetermined after you start the mixing. it doesn't matter which card you select, you always would get the same.
the choice of card, just like the choice of booster packs, is entirely irrelevant... it's an illusion of choice, it's all random.

jup, someone tested it by emulating 5 phones at the same time and starting the wonder pick on all of them simultaneously. all of them got the same card even tho he clicked a different card on each emulated instance

Single point lightning is very fun to play. The combos you can do with Surge catches a ton of people off guard, since people don't recognize that Raichu does 140 damage. Kills ex birds and anything 140 hp and lower like Celebi and mew.
Plus all pokemon are not ex. So you can last a bit longer to set up your win condition

It could just be that the server already gave a card after the first pick, so on all the other "phones" on the same account for the same wonder pick, it just shows the same result as the server already gave the card.
It could be to prevent bad connectivity, packet loss, multiple packets sent. Once a first choice is done and registered by the server, you get the same result to prevent cheating.

He did the right thing. Tbh you can probably concede as long as there's a Gyarados on the board. That card kills pretty much anything, and if it doesn't kill your active Pokemon instantly it'll remove your energy so that you can't counter it fast enough..

Honestly, EX cards ruin the game. Being able to have two of each is also broken. As will GX, V, and VMax if they introduced.
I know there will always be some cards/Pokémon that are just filler/waste, but those special cards make most cards obsolete.
But hey, the game's also broken with cards like Misty and Vaporeon's special ability.
I liked the battle aspect up to and including Gym Heroes (released in 2000), which were cool alternatives.

I'm grateful for my Pikachu Ex deck since I was able to beat that Blastoise Ex deck like 20 times on the highest difficulty with no effort. Still took me like 20 tries to finally get the Blastoise card.Took me 39 battles to get that blastoise promo card

Misty is a hit or miss. I sometimes waste my 2 cards for no energy at all.

Yeah I know. I ended up in a game recently where we both had Gyarados out and I lost my own energy on my turn, and then I also lost my energy during his turn as well. Which meant I only had two energy left and couldn't attack for the next turn… Super unlucky and very annoying.
But so are most things in this game. I've also been beaten by a Eevee who did 80 on turn one and killed my only active Pokemon..

Pikachu deck made it feel way too easy, i agree. Hopefully we get a charizard promo soon seeing as we've had Venasaur and blastoise.

Mew EX is also my only crown card so far. I have been getting crappy pulls lately besides a special mewtwo ex card. Cant for me get a card I dont already own

Got my third crown card this weekend.
Generally I have very bad luck in games with loot boxes and random packs but somehow here I get really lucky with my picks.

Why the hell did I download this, now I'm completely hooked on a mobile game.
I used to be the odd one out among my pokemon card collecting friends because I was the only one that actually knew how to use the cards (I went far enough down the pokemon rabbit hole to buy the Pokemon TCG gameboy game).
The battle system in this is of course simplified, but still keeps enough of it to be a big improvement over the brain dead mash fest that was Pokemon Go battles.
I'm at around 450 cards so far, haven't got any crazy rare afaik but it's starting get more interesting playing the battles the more you collect.
Pretty sweet that the auto battle AI isn't a complete idiot, it makes grinding through the solo battles while simultaneously going through NG+ in Armored Core 6 less of a pain xD

I DO THAT TOO. I always end up picking a different at the last second and then next thing you know it WAS THE ONE.Now I just randomly tap all my fingers and choose at random.
Poke GO is way more addicted than Poke TCG.
TCG u do a couple quest a day and thats it. Open a booster , do a wonder pick , play some battles for the events that are giving out promo cards and thats it (assuming u dont spend money on the game which i think its just dumb and stupid)

You get rewarded with the Mew icon iirc (a different one than the 'collect three mew cards' icon).

1062 cards. No gold cards. Only rare cards I have pulled are 1x copy of the special moving art work version of Charizard, Mewtwo and Celebi.
Trying to get the special cards in the Mew packs but I'm literally just getting never ending dupes.
