So that's your justification for people burning down car dealerships?Elon already forcibly made a grab for our personal information with no oversight or restrictions on what he can do with it. Sorry if I dont feel bad for his irobot project.

It is "everything's computer". Get the marketing right.Tesler! Everything is computer. OMFG.![]()
I assume you're referring to Manabyte. How the fuck does this guy still have a job?
So that's your justification for people burning down car dealerships?
The Nazi who sells cars to Israel ???
But what happened to the narrative???
Oh, maybe the narrative was total bullshit propaganda???

Isn't getting a Tesla going woke? Could've sworn that was the direction the wind was blowing last year

Tesla got lucky being perceived as a tech company with gigantic valuations. At one time, I think Tesla was worth more than all car companies combined at $500/share or whatever it was at. Any losses they incurred for years can be easily covered selling some shares. If this company was more modestly priced at share value and market cap to Ford who has always been a steady performer that even pays a dividend, Tesla wouldnt exist today.More government subsidy. Wonder if Israel is buying those with US aid money too? The only reason any of his companies exist; free billions in handouts from public funding. I for one am shocked. Perfect guy to cut into your grandma's ability to buy groceries and medicine after they are too old to work, and call that waste. Old people can die in poverty but at least the government will have some sick Teslas. Old people living is a fucking waste, buy a Tesla. Just push an old person into the road next time you see them and make it quick. Not like you'd lose sleep over it.
A Biden?I am curious though. What do you call it when someone takes a government position and then immediately starts leveraging those connections to personally enrich himself while in office?
Sure, totally. I didnt vote for the guy. Guess we should be seeing a congressional investigation any second now. Barely even been 2 months so all the same people are there. Keep fighting corruption.A Biden?
I def don't get what's going on, and it does feel very off in every way.You agree that is also what Musk is doing right? White House ad in the lawn with the president right as his personal wealth is dipping. Government contract the next day with the only ally we haven't cut off aid for. Starlink contracts fast tracked illegally. Armored Tesla contract pushed through for US department of defense for $400 million. All while illegally cutting our most sensitive programs and illegally firing thousands of people. You agree right? Surely you must. Like, obviously. Right?
Trump and Musk are simply going scorched earth on everything from tariffs to firing people. And if it has to be rescinded that's ok. Nobody is expecting to bat 1.000. But if they can bat .500 it's better than batting zero.I def don't get what's going on, and it does feel very off in every way.
I don't know if he's illegally firing people, there's a lot of government waste and prob fraud. Not sure if he's the one to stop it.
Just gotta find 8 thousand gardening crews to cut and he can cover the cost of having the government give him $400 million for armored Teslas. 7,999 to go and we can break even.Trump and Musk are simply going scorched earth on everything from tariffs to firing people. There's so much gov waste (in any country I bet) it's laughable what's been uncovered in only 2 months.
The best one lately is there's a multi year contract for a company to water 8 plants at the pentagon or somewhere. Price of contract: $50,000. Musk cancelled it and said people at the building will water it themselves.
If Musk and gang can find such blatant silly crap in 2 months, just imagine what the tally will be after 4 years. Its insane how nobody care at gov too. No company in the world would do such a stupid contract unless there was obvious code of conduct/bribery shenanigans going on.
but doesn't he also in contract with NASA who don't have his tech for rockets?Just gotta find 8 thousand gardening crews to cut and he can cover the cost of having the government give him $400 million for armored Teslas. 7,999 to go and we can break even.
He could also pay back the 36 billion he already received with interest. He has it.
Musk has had federal contracts for years. It's not like these armored teslas is the first deal ever with the US.but doesn't he also in contract with NASA who don't have his tech for rockets?
And I honestly don't really care if it's Tesla getting the deals, because the previous admin prob gave other companies similar deals. Don't be naive in thinking Trump and Musk are the first ones doing this, Biden also road a GE car I think and gave contracts. They all do it.
I get it all seem sketchy, but government is now days. Everything is fucking corrupt. My only concern is does it get good to people. And we'll see.

No company in the world would do such a stupid contract unless there was obvious code of conduct/bribery shenanigans going on. At least the key difference is a company is private and only has so much money. And people get paid more and bonuses the better the company does. Gov is taxpayer money, unlimited printing money, unlimited debt, so nobody ever gives a shit.
Most of the big private companies are probably still overstaffed despite laying off 10s of thousands. The IRS has almost 85k employees. If you seriously think that they're working anywhere near efficiency, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.IRS staff aren't a drain on any spending. They are how we get the money for all spending, and they only can collect what is already legally supposed to be collected.
And key to the conversation around taxes. Pretending like these things exist in a vacuum (conveniently unless it's legislation being passed through congress with a title relating to A and content relating to Z1-U90) is ridiculous.Simplifying the tax code is a legislative project.
People skimping out on taxes is the least of the problem. 1 trillion dollars is being spent on debt interest, and the deficit is still at most of 2 trillion. Hate to say it bud, no amount of black market activity, offshore tax havens (which is called "evasion", but it's literally allowed by law, just have to spend a lot of money on accountants and lawyers to do it) is going to solve 3 trillion dollars every year on the year. If it did, even partially, the current mentality in government would just be to just take it as permission to spend and print more. How do you catch all the people skimping out on their taxes by slashing the IRS?

I didn't say cut the IRS completely, I said slash in response to Miku suggesting they should be TRIPLED in headcount. More important than that is simplifying the tax code. More important than that is getting spending under control. So your solution is to cut the IRS, whose budget is $16 billion (in 2023), which makes up a grand total of 0.26% (16 billion divided by 6.13 trillion times 100) of the federal budget? Whose job it is to collect the very same revenue you need to reduce the deficit and debt?

No, Ukrain has not voted once for Israel since and before Oct 7th.Netanyahu will do anything to keep his buddies happy.
Dude backstabbed Zelensky at the UN just last week. and Zelensky is a Jew who has stood in support of Israel at every opportunity after October 7th!
But this is quite the interesting trend. Waiting for Viktor Orban and Putin to announce similar Tesla orders so you can also jubilate
Really? No, Ukrain has not voted once for Israel since and before Oct 7th.
No, Ukrain has not voted once for Israel since and before Oct 7th.
Ukraine has abstained from voting in every single UN vote against Israeli interests in the past few years.
Abstention is pretty much tacit support, as these things go.
Zelensky himself has repeatedly stuck his neck out and made verbal statements siding with Israel.
"The judge ordered six federal agencies - the departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Energy, Interior and Treasury to reinstate recently hired or promoted probationary employees who were terminated by the Trump administration. [...] lacked the authority to order the firings and did so unlawfully. [...] also said the Trump administration tried to circumvent protections for federal workers by falsely claiming the reason for their termination was their 'performance.' "I don't know if he's illegally firing people

Ukraine – UN Watch Database
Each year, the UN General Assembly condemns Israel 20 times more than Iran, Syria & North Korea. Dictatorships like China, Venezuela & Saudi Arabia dominate key UN human rights bodies. See UN Watch’s latest facts & figures: unwatch.org/database.unwatch.org
Wrong. And abstention is not support or yes. I was wrong, MisterFalcon, you found one yes vote, that's wonderful.
Let's get to the topic at hand.
A Biden?
Let me get this straight - highest elected public official of the land simping for a private business is normal? You don't see a problem with that? It's obvious why the president might want his help.
Let me get this straight - highest elected public official of the land simping for a private business is normal? You don't see a problem with that?
I absolutely do see the problem with it. Here's me directly addressing the capitol car dealership:Let me get this straight - highest elected public official of the land simping for a private business is normal? You don't see a problem with that?
And Henry Ford was sitting next to him too.Biden drove a Jeep Wrangler around the lawn of the whitehouse.
Biden said "Putin cannot remain in power" while he was in office.
Trump tried to tell us that Ukraine started this war after we all watched Russia waltz in and start blowing things up. Elon Musk rescinded Starlink aid to Ukranian soldiers even before Trump was in office.
Bidens gone, and who you have now are two people willing to sell out an invaded nation to the invaders, and openly pissing off long time allies like bullish idiots. Maybe think about what kind of precedent is being set here.
Elon doesnt give a rats ass about israel.
With build quality like this it's a mystery why people aren't buying more of them
IF it was someone the left liked and was a liberal president they wouldn't care and the right would be up in arms about it. It is all performative outrage for the most part. And Henry Ford was sitting next to him too.
That's definitely not true.It is all performative outrage for the most part.
In the media absolutely. That's definitely not true.
It's just not true. There are real life, measurable material impacts that people are upset about. You can agree or disagree but suggesting people are faking being outraged is absolutely absurd. Domestic terrorism is starting to slowly simmer. Social security staff and offices are being shuttered. Tens of thousands of people have been fired, illegally. Thousands of poor and vulnerable people have already lost health care with Medicaid cuts. Evilore highlighted a veteran that's likely to die because his clinical cancer trials just got shut off abruptly, illegally. The stock market is tanking more every day. What are you even talking about? Do you think Canada and Greenland are performatively outraged? Or Germany? Or Poland? In the media absolutely.
I don't think it is in this case, and I'm being 100% honest. For a start, I think there's no problem whatsoever in a president being seen in a car made by a US based company. Here in the UK, it made the news when the Prime Minister stopped using a UK manufactured car a couple of years ago, which had always been the case before. It's just sensible to give local firms the seal of approval / to not slight them by using an import or whatever, imo.IF it was someone the left liked and was a liberal president they wouldn't care and the right would be up in arms about it. It is all performative outrage for the most part..

I want to shrink the size of government, so I hope we get that out of all of this. Reduce government by 50% across the board. Defense too.
I know you didn't, nor did I imply you did intend to cut the IRS completely. I gave you the numbers with the implication that the total expenditure of the IRS is not even one percent of the total budget. Relative to how important the IRS is, that looks like a good deal. You said "slash". What is your ideal slashing number?I didn't say cut the IRS completely,
Uh, so what? Slash the IRS means slash the IRS regardless of what Miku said.I said slash in response to Miku suggesting they should be TRIPLED in headcount.
You're not getting spending under control by making cuts to less than one percent of the federal budget and reducing our nation's capacity to collect revenue.More important than that is simplifying the tax code. More important than that is getting spending under control.
