Do you remember playing Ocarina of time Master Quest edition?

Days like these...

Have a Blessed Day
I just found this in my garage, now if only I had functioning GameCube.

Yeah, it came with the Wind Waker special edition.

Had a nice ammount of fun with it, those dungeons sure felt more challenging than the original ones.

Nowadays you can play it even on a Nintendo 64.

Yup still have both forms of the disk, first the one my friend picked up from toys r us at the back of his house in shimonoseki when he preordered wind waker for me then the zelda collection i bought from club nintendo with the shit ton of points i had saved up. The club N version is worth a fortune now due to how hard it was to get because of the point requirement also the superior version as the manual in the jpn version is in full beautiful colour. As a nice touch they gave the zelda collection away in a double disk case so you could store the other zelda disk in it together.

Never liked it. I didnt even finish the Deku Tree I think. We had this cover with the stupid PU score

yep I broke Master Quest close to the ending and having played the original like 100th times didn't bother to start again.
In the spirit temple i client figure out a way to get a key so I tried to pass through a stream of water that was blocking a gate. I eventually passed through the collision of the water stream... getting a key i want supposed to get yet, after i used the key there was no way to get the one i was supposed to 😅

Its the reason I sold my TWW copy. They had a used LE around which I picked up instead. Only to barely ever touching the OoT ports.

dont remember it being harder than the original
also cant remember how hard/easy the original was

let a friend borrow it and he kept "forgetting" to give it back at school
walked to his house and got it myself
best preorder of all time

It was so good. I still have my disc. Probably the best pre-order bonus of all-time.

Only reason I preordered Wind Waker back in the day. Wasn't even a teen so had to scrape together money for months lol

It was wild. I had already preordered Wind Waker, and the deal was retroactive. I remember GameStop calling me (then Software Etc) to come get it. It was awesome. You only had to put down the requisite $5 or $10 down too to claim it. You could have just preordered all over town and gotten tons of these discs if you wanted to.

yep, still have it.I'd watch that F-Zero GX trailer every time I booted up the disc. One of the few cases where the game matched the trailer's hype.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing

Yup. Thought it was a little weird and interesting at the same time. Some things felt strategically placed like you can tell developers moved things around. Felt more like a new game + without anything carrying.

This is genuinely the only version Iv played of ocarina of time to any length. I got to fire temple and just got stuck. I remember there being cow heads sticking out of the walls near the entrance or something.

I remember it playing around with Ocarina's fans' memories, changing around items' placements in dungeons etc. Not much else besides that.

MQ had a lot of stuff meant to surprise or mess with you having played the normal version. They somewhat expected you to be prepared by experience, but also intentionally playing on that experience to trip you up.

I think MQ can be easier in ways to replay than the base game though. Pretty sure normal water temple is worse. In MQ I always plow it in one session but don't think I've ever done it without saving and walking away on N64 lol

I'm sorry

If you didn't play ocarina of time of time on the N64 and get crab hand from that poxy controller, you didn't play ocarina of time

Some Arthritis is earned 💪

Damn kids, and their fancy 'Gamecube' CD nonsene

I have to keep a N64 ready because the controller is the only acceptable way to play Zelda, Goldeneye and Starfox. Attempting to play these 3 games with anything else makes me mad and gives me arthritis.

Played another copy, I still have my MQ sealed. The thing I'll never forget is when I preordered it at Gamestop, I gave them $5 and to hold my WW upon release, but they gave me the MQ bonus when I preordered. I could have cancelled the preorder, maybe been out $5 and I would still have had MQ. Nobody gives out preorder bonuses ahead of time anymore.

I vaguely remember playing it and not liking it.
At one point it feels like they didn't know how to make things different and interesting, and just reused the "light up four torches to open door" puzzle over and over and over again. Never touched it again, and never felt the urge to do so.

Never owned it. I owned the gold cart right at launch, owned both guides, and completed a 100% save. It's a wonderful game, but I never saw a point to MQ. What's weird is I don't even like MM. OOT is a GOAT though. Once you had that magic moment with OOT, getting it back again is a hit and miss. I started the 3DS port, but never finished it.

I always saw this at EB Games. Never felt obligated to get it even when I owned a GC. After OOT, I didn't really enjoy Zelda until TP came out on GC. I had WW on launch too, but I didn't get the same feeling as I did with OOT.

Damn, F-Zero GX still looks awesome. I love Wind Waker also, one of the greatest Zelda games.

I never really touched it no.

I did have the Wind Waker special edition that came with Ocarina of Time, but I never really cared for that port and was occupied by Wind Waker
