Especially if people can't help themselves buying it.

Gamers only have themselves to blame, again and again.
I guess this is the ultimate Switch. I'll Switch from having one - to not having one! Fuck you Nintendo. With a broomstick. Sideways.

90$ digital games?! Fuck off.. I'm remembering why I gave up on the switch now, Nintendo first party games never go on sale ever and even used prices are high. Ugh

Prime 4 is 4K60, so it's possible. Might be less though of course.

Edit: why the lol SweetTooth SweetTooth ? Don't you think its possible that TOTK runs worse than 4K60 on Switch 2?
I Lol'd because if you you expect consistent 4K(internal render)/60fps you will be in for a rude awakening.

Sure games will be upscaled to 4K screens, but knowing Switch 2 specs they would look bad.

It is the console + game + Express SDcard (old switch cards aren't compatible due to new speed readings) = $600+ in some places. I'll give it a pass for now as I won't buy it to play MK World and KG Bananza only. Gamecubes games and upgrades are cool but all extras expenses. I'll give it a year before deciding or when they release an oled version.

Guys, guys, listen, what if Nintendo priced the Switch 2 high so that people on the verge would instead buy the Switch 1 and help break PS record?
Believe!!!!111one

I never said anything about internal render though. I think Prime 4 uses upscaling to get to 4k60.

A couple days ago:
When it comes to gaming I would like new user interfaces. Not for consoles but imagine a Quest controller for analog stick movement while still using the mouse for aiming on PC.

Thanks Nintendo!! Analog joycon stick movement in left hand and joycon mouse aiming in right hand in Metroid Prime. 👌

And dual mouse controls! Nintendo is the only one who's doing something new and awesome. Day 1 if scalpers allow it!

I'm I the only one who was disappointed from the first party games to the poor graphics showcase, guess I expected more, rumours are true, it's just a ps4 with a better cpu. Where the hell was Dlss, please tell me Nintendo has not chosen a nividia gpu with no Dlss.

You have two Treehouses upcoming for further game reveals. Not the first time that has happened.

Absolutely will buy at this price. probably be the console I use the most next several years.(and still buying some PC games)

Trump just announced 34% tariffs on china and 46% tariffs on Vietnam. Doesn't nintendo get some of their components made in Vietnam?

Yeah, something tells me these prices are going way up. Not just the Switch 2 either. Referring to the American price here of course (Assuming it doesn't all change again).

What is it a 20% tariff on Japan imports just announced. That would bring the price to $550.

I've a feeling Nintendo has factored for this though, they knew it was coming.

Never have I lost interest so fast in such a good promise. Nintendo's greed knows no limit, even Sony look like the good guys now.

24% tariffs on Japan. So wherever the Switch 2 is manufactured, it could become much more expensive.

They clearly don't intend to outsell Switch 1. And a lower price would only benefit the scalpers. They saw Sony's strategy worked with PS5 price hike.

Are switches made in Japan though? The bigger issue is Vietnam for Nintendo. Not sure if anyone thought it would be that high.

Great news everyone, the US price is about to change! Either that or they just won't bother selling it there any more.

But I think it was expected no? People are actually surprised that 1/0.5 rather than 1/1. Though it makes sense due to USD transactions.

What's the determining factor? Where a Switch 2 is actually manufactured ("Made in Vietnam") or where the main office of the company is located (Japan).

Not sure how it'll work. But it's a Japanese company so worst comes to worst in theory they could ship from Vietnam to Tokyo, put them in a box then send to US.

I can't imagine the value of going with nvidia without DLSS...
We are talking about a company that is notorious for cheaping out to try and keep costs down, and another for being a bad hardware partner for companies.

Could also be that the switch GPU doesn't have enough grunt to run modern games with quality reconstruction.
Maybe the render cost is just too high and they're going to trust in standard upscaling techniques.
We just have to wait to find out more
