Swedish Switch 2 price: $685/€622 - $756/€686 with MKW

569€ for Switch 2 here in Finland (25,5% VAT), 599€ for PS5 disc drive version.
Seems like Nintendo is using a random price generator for this pos.

720 dollars for the Mario bundle in Norway.
Nintendo should raise the price to $1020 in Norway instead to offset the price in Sweden. Those Scandinavian oil sheikhs should have compassion with the Swedes.

The Japanese probably feel some sort of kinship to their agglutination brethrens. That would explain the lower price.

Finnish price, just put down a preorder because guaranteed launch day order - ain't nobody gonna sell out at this price

Well, that's a helluva lot cheaper than in Sweden. I seriously don't understand why we specifically are getting fucked hardest of all.

Looks like the Scandis and the Finns need to go on vacation in Germany to buy a Switch 2. Is 470 here (510 with MK).

I'm seriously considering it. Or ordering one from there. Not sure how much the shipping would be though. But surely not 150€.

I guess what might be a bother is warranty repairs etc.

Semi ignorant question, is the Nintendo power supply able to deal with different voltages from around the world, and all you need is the appropriate plug adapter to fit your socket?

Definitely not a problem within EU, don't know about the rest of the world, but I would bet it handles anything fine and you just need an adapter.

So I got an email from Nintendo about pre-ordering it directly from them - I guess cause my playtime and NSO membership? Since it was an offer directly from Nintendo of Europe I got the bundle for €509, I couldn't believe it, that they let me order - but sure enough no problem shipping to Sweden and I got a unit too. So look your inboxes Scandibros.

Thankfully I'll be on a business trip to Tokyo later this year. No way in hell am I paying the price they're asking for here.

That's insane. A base Switch2 in Ireland is €460, €160 price difference 😳
Yeah it's daytime robbery here in Sweden. Fucking Bergsala, greedy cunts. But that's why I was surprised at Nintendo of Europe even offering me to pre-order from them, wouldn't think they wanted to undercut their Scandinavian distributor.

I haven't been playing my Switch much after TOTK, and also cancelled my membership, so I'm pretty sure I'm out.

We need to burn Bergsala to the ground!

Hopefully Nintendo sees that their greed hurts adoption and throws them to the wayside.
Maybe all the Nordic countries have terrible tariffs?

Those prices seem insane.
Honestly it has nothing to do with tariffs. This is all due to the greed of the distributor. We got taxes, but with that counted for with the European price it shouldn't be nowhere near the €180 price hike we get compared to central Europe.

Unelected bureaucrats making terrible policy decisions to over-regulate an entire continent. Is that a good enough description of the EU?

You were talking about the Nordics having our own "terrible tariffs" (very Trumpy of you). That's not how it works.

Im joking about it. Because these are the times we live in. But I need to add an emote when I am joking about Tariffs. That will make the jokes tariffic. :)

Alright then, all good!

But yeah no, this is all about Bergsala (the Nordic distributor) having a monopoly and using it to fuck us over.

No, that's not how anything works. The EU is a single market, there are no specific Swedish import tariffs or taxes. This is just the company handling Nordic distribution (for some reason Nintendo doesn't do it themselves) being greedy evil assholes.
Nordic countries still have different taxations, it's not unified.

We don't have separate import tariffs from the rest of the EU.

Yes, we have higher VAT than the EU average, and a chemical tax, but none of that even comes close to explaining the price difference. There is no explanation except greed.

Wow.

I can't see this flying off the shelves in Poland for that price.
The only time nintendo console was flying off the shelves in poland was early 90s pirated NES called Pegasus(which was legal and even had ads in nation wide tv channels), it was obviously super cheap( maybe like 20-30$ or so) and it had pirated cartridges that were like 1-2$ each :D
Here u got actual tv ad of that beauty, it had many models/versions and basically every kid had it, since every1 was poor at that time here(with super rare exception of kids of politicans/ceo of banks/big companies or carrier criminals(like mafia lool- u could tell those mafia family kids were rich coz they could afford original nike/adidas/puma/reebok tracksuits/shoes etc, every other normal, so poor kid was wearing fakes coz they were so much cheaper), but thats like 0,1%, over 99% of families were crazy poor late 80s/early 90s:

Ha!

My wife has one of those still at her dad's appointment. Boxed and everything. I've never had the opportunity to play it, but I might see if I can have go when I go to Poland in August.

EU prices:

Base unit: €470
With MKW: €510

Swedish prices:

Base unit: 6,800 SEK = $685/€622
With MKW: 7,500 SEK = $756/€686

I'm in absolute shock. What the FUCK is going on with this shit?! Why are we paying €152-176 more than the rest of the EU? My guess is the greedy assholes at Bergsala. Why the fuck can't Nintendo handle their own Nordic distribution?

I'm not getting a Switch 2 anymore, which feels incredibly sad, but I just can't support this absolute bullshit.
Just buy in any other normal priced EU country, thats the benefit of the customs union

Yeah, I just worry about warranty stuff. It's much nicer to just be able to go to the store and hand in your broken Joycon than having to send it to another country.
