Switch 2 UK retailers already report sellouts

Yodel , cancelled my game order to wait due to the person who delivers to my area , will not deal with yodel, would rather wait till either Amazon or Nintendo or be able to order and pick up in shop

I think the console will be readily available, most people I know in the real world, arent interested.
Argos has had stock all morning, if scalpers etc thought it was worth it, those would have been gone in seconds.

The current Switch did not meet demand in terms of shipments at the time of its launch and was noticeably resold, leading to user dissatisfaction. For Switch 2, the company aims to secure sufficient inventory prior to the launch to make a "head start," which was not possible with the current model.

I got the console only via Very, but they deliver with Yodel.

Then managed to preorder the MK version through EE, and they deliver via DPD which is obvs the best... But it says DPD 2 day delivery which is concerning.
 
What do people think the switch could sell first year. I am thinking 17.5 to 20 million units if stock is available and America's situation doesnt fuck its chances.

Looking through old threads here and there Argos use DPD for console preorders, at least they did for the PS5 from what I can see. I've bought a Series S from them before and that was DPD.

When u search yodel it lists Argos as a partner , plus I've seen on web people waiting for ps5 get it through dpd but then seen people complaining about orders coming with yodel so it depends who argos decide on the day

I think it will sell well at first, but in the long run it won't be as successful as Switch 1, not at the price. Especially with the game prizes. And the fact that it's currently sold out doesn't mean much. There are far too many scalpers out there.

I have never pre ordered a console from them until a hour ago, but use Argos semi frequently and its always been either their own vans or Yodel, in this instance I hope I'm wrong and it is DPD, Yodel are so bad I would even take Evri over them.

DPD list Argos as a partner too, so it must be dependant on what area you are in. If its Yodel though I may seriously consider going elsewhere as they are shit.

Yeah Argos wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list to pre order a console tbh, I got caught out when the others all jumped the gun last week and just nabbed one thanks to the post on here.
 
I would love the switch to be available everywhere come release day to pick up, would love all the scalpers trying to sell the switch 2 already on eBay to get stung

My PS5 was with DPD. I'd say they're unlikely to use Yodel for such a high ticket item that is likely to get stolen.

I had an order from Argos back in November and they used DHL. It depends on your area... as they use several companies to deliver their stuff. Can't say I've ever had Yodel, so they must not deliver in my area.
 
Yeah for me it would be expensive do as would have to go for Mario kart switch 2 bundle, then a pro controller, GameCube controller, joycon charge grip, case , micro sd express card at least 512gb or bigger then only other game would be prob sf6 download, so for me just hanging fire if it sells out and don't get one then fine can wait, not rushin in
 
I was pretty close to pushing the button on an Argos order. But, but, but...

I don't want Mario Kart as a download code, they don't seem to have the option to pick it up at the shop, and with delivery that's 475 quid. To play one game. The urge to buy new tech is strong, though.

I was hovering over pre order last night and my Mrs walks in the room and says "are you buying this just cos it's new tech or will you actually play it" told me everything i needed to hear.

Sitting this one out.

You have strong willpower. I want to buy this thing, but it's not all that impressive and is massively overpriced. But I still kind of want it.

I just need to look at my original Switch every time I want to kill my new tech boner. There it sits, plugged in but not connected to a TV, and the only time it has been picked up in the last 18 months is to vacuum underneath it.

I feel bad about it now. Just picked it up, and it didn't even know the wifi password I've had for over two years.

It's in the process of getting backdated system updates. Also reminded me that I have a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that I still haven't started. Maybe there will be some sort of Switch 2 performance enhancement for that...
 

Here's the Mario Kart one as well.

Pre-ordered it from Amazon as well. Guess I'll cancel my Game order and keep the other one at Smyth Toys.

Honestly, the fact I could right now have 6+ preorders ready for launch day is ridiculous. This shit is not selling much, period.
 
I've got one don't mind if it is 7th or not , at least money not took right away with Amazon and if anything slightly wrong can send back for money back or replacement easy to other retailers

Will see now as Amazon not put the accessories up if I wait or go Nintendo own website to get delivery or pro controller and case and grip

Yeah could see Xmas time either another bundle with switch 2 and whatever Nintendo keeping for Xmas game or them dropping Mario kart and doing Xmas game bundle

Unless this thing really doesn't shift units I can't see there being any bundles at Christmas. It's prime 'buy at full price' season.
 
Got mine from Argos in the end as never got an invite from Nintendo despite thousands of hours and unbroken switch subscription for 5 years (yes all data sharing and mailing lists are turned on.) The pro controller and charging joycon holder from Nintendo directly. Got a new LG G5 TV coming Friday, looking forward to getting all this in June. I'm trading in my Series X and just keeping my PS5 Pro and Switch for the new set up.

Haha same I've had my switch since it first came out, since then still use the one I got day one although it got a new fan in and got oled model, got thousands oh hrs in splatoon 2 and more in splatoon 3 as well as load of other games , been switch subscription since it started and I didn't get Nintendo invite, like someone said they just picked random people

Nothing is assured unless they are selling to 10m Gaf level gamers at day one AFAIK, which is impossible

All the noise I'm hearing in my own gaming circles says to me it is going to have to prove its greatness and not just sell to those blindly buying as Switch continuation or buying off influencer takes.
 
I would imagine that's it for a while now. Don't think it's a coincidence that two of the biggest retailers got a load more stock on the day Nintendo opened preorders officially.
