Show us your gaming setup: 2025 Edition

Here is a preview of my gaming room/office. Sorry it's a little messy, doing some organizing. Switch and Series X are on my desk which I will post eventually.

Yes I have WAY too many controllers and am trying to find a better solution for them. I have a bad habit of buying controllers/consoles when I see one cheap at a yard sale.
Has anyone tried a shoe organizer? Found an example below. My concern is it will mess up analog sticks over time. Maybe I should sell a few :messenger_grinning_sweat:

This reminds me of the setups that would get posted when I first started frequenting this thread in the late 2000s. Which I mean as a complement - looks like a fun space.

These are from my gaming room in my basement, taken this morning so its up to date!

That's an incredible room!
Now.. if you carpeted the whole floor and added some more wood paneling and stuff. Make it ultimate cozy !
I gotta think of some way to moving my setup to next level but man do I wish to have cool basement like this!!!!!!!!!!

My 16 inch 'portable'. Running off a Pi Zero 2W running retropie and a 37000 mAh battery pack. I need to fix the bed adhesion on my 3D printer and print an improved battery/pi holder before I am willing to show the back although it will always be a little ghetto unless I print a giant enclosure.
Will also probably need a better Pi to use the full capabilities of the monitor.

Recently got my new gaming setup done. It´s the first time I´ve done a proper desk setup for gaming and work. I´ve always gamed on the couch but now I´ve decided to move on to a desk setup instead.

The setup consists of a PS5, Switch and ROG Ally X. Laptop is an Asus Zenbook 13 OLED. Monitor is LG Ultragear curved 1440p. Chair is ROG Chariot. Headphones is Steelseries Arctis 7+ and Sony XM3. Keyboard and Mouse is all Logitech. Xbox Wireless Controller for PC. 8bitdo Ultimate for Switch and Dualsense for PS5.

Is there something you are not telling us?

Looks nice and clean

I've done some upgrades the last year:
New Embody chair, Gigabyte 4K Oled 32" monitor and newly built 5090-rig. Happy camper.
The PS5 Pro and Steam Deck is in the living room, next to this gaming room.
There's a huge window right above where I sit, which is brilliant during the summer!

tiny update to 5700x3d and some more ram (with rgb of course).
Nothing changed in the setup. I just cleaned the pc and like the picture :P

Can't wait to get started (again).

The monitor is the 24 inch 1440p AOC Q24G2 and I've hit the jackpot with the panel. Can't find any dead pixels, very uniform backlighting with no bleed spots.

Let's go!

Finally, I can post pictures of my new gaming setup in French Polynesia. We moved here during the pandemic, and started to build our house a few years ago - in August 2023. This is where we were in January 2024. It's been a long project, but since it's our primary home, it's worth it. We still have our pied-a-terre in London, and our Finnish holiday home.

It was a challenging build, since we introduced many Nordic influences the builders here are not used to. A long overhang without pillars. 3.7m windows with hidden frames. All AC and water systems hidden. Minimal skirting boards.

Main villa
The main villa is by the lagoon, with our own little beach. It has a lounge that can be opened up to be an indoors-outdoors space. Here, we watch most TV shows and I play games like CoD or Elden Ring. The TV can be hidden away behind sliding doors.

The entire property is kitted with a Crestron Home system that controls lights, temperature, curtains, AV, CCTV, alarm and gate control. We can control everything from iPhone, wall buttons and touch panels. We made bespoke Crestron remote controls for every screen - but I do regret the Xbox button a bit now.

To my surprise, the fibre internet here is excellent, about 200mbps. Our screens and the Storm Evo processor are super low latency, so I have been able to be completely competitive in CoD with a 100-120ms ping.

Cinema
The fun building with the cinema and gym is facing the mountain, on the other side of our lap pool. Behind it are our guest villas for friends and clients, and our office. Plots here are long and narrow, because beachfront is expensive.

For the cinema, I really wanted to have a Cinemascope native screen. It's just a magical aspect ratio. We watch all films here with Kaleidescape, which downloads 150GB film files permanently to our 12TB server. The picture quality is insane. We also watch the big Apple shows in the cinema, since they are shot in cinemascape. I really hope this aspect ratio will be an option in next gen consoles. For 4:3 or 16:9 content like old films or gaming currently, the screen automatically masks the the extra area away.

Gym
Just next to the cinema, fitness is important for us here. I got into weights on GAF, and finally I could have my proper setup. We also have a NordicTrack treadmill and bike since it's too hot to run outside - plus the locals smoke so much weed it's dangerous to run by the roadside. The gym also has a 65 inch TV for Apple Fitness and iFit sessions, and Sonance pendant speakers for some Skrillex while lifting. After a session in the gym, I tend to plugne in the 16m lap pool.

Beach and pool
The beach and pool area is important for our social life, so we kitted it with a lot of speakers and subwoofers. Guest on wifi can play music via Sonos on their phone, or AirPlay.
  • Sonance speakers
  • Sonance subwoofer
  • Sonos Port connectivity

Office
Finally, after working from 'home' (ie. a hotel or rental) for half a decade, we have a real office again. Since I love music, I have chosen some fun audio things here as well that I enjoy listening to.
  • Devialet Phantom II speaker
  • Schiit Yggdrasil DAC
  • Schiit Folkvangr tube amp
  • EMU Teak headphones
  • NAD CS1 streamer

So, that's it. Our main home, and final of our three residences complete. It has taken half a decade of suitcase life, putting up with crap TVs, knives and wine glasses in rentals, constant packing and unpacking, sweating boxes to storage and back, but finally it's over.

These are now our homes for life, until we build the final destination for retirement. No more building, just enjoying.

I might try to stop by since I have seafaring transportation now....

Chittagong Chittagong killing it as usual. M master15 's setup is pretty swag, too. I'm impressed.

My setup's still a WIP, though it's actually in progress now. speakers for the HT setup are here, but none of that's put together yet, and I have two sound setups going into my office that I still haven't bought... but a lot of furniture, painting, and custom closets later, and I'm getting there. I can finally unbox my games after 3 years of having them packed up from various moves. This year might actually finally be the year I have something put together.

not bad, how much does this gaming setup costs? Give me an estimates for whole project, i want to check if my credit is enough to replicate it, or do i need to a bigger loan.

Finished my new build in the Antec Flux Pro case yesterday. Mostly Noctua fans, and a new Corsair Titan 360 AIO.
I love this case! The display is handy, and the mesh around the lower part is great. Great temps all around.
It's huge though! Makes my 5090 look tiny:)

what don't you understand about "gaming setup" you got damn rich guy?
gtfo here with your luxury apartment
(hoyl shit, that's nice, great apartment man :messenger_loudly_crying: )

There is a video online of a guy who has a really bright multi-room setup or possibly his basement that is Nintendo themed and is lit up top to bottom with led lighting. Probably cost a fortune and looked professionally done. Have any of you seen it or can provide a link to the video?

Just waiting on the Switch 2. I did download the uncompressed 4K Mario Kart World trailer. This looked awesome on my JVC projector. That being said the original Switch looks pretty decent too.

I gotta ask, do you put protective plastic or are those mostly new, unopened movies in that bookcase?
They're steelbook covers. I started collecting during covid as I had nothing else to burn money on. I've probably only watched half of them though, I usually sit down once every Sunday evening and watch one.

Think I'll go with The Truman Show tonight. Got the Manta Lab release a few weeks back.

Holy fuck.

Would you mind divulging an approximation of how much building something like that costs ? From what I understand prices there are not exactly cheap

Also how did you obtain citizenship?

Thanks for sharing.

Beach land is really expensive as you would expect, so plots are narrow. Because of distances, even simpler builds can run several million dollars. In our case, we did a lot of stuff the locals had not done before - long overhang roofs without pillars, hidden window frames, top of the line home automation.

With EU passport, no citizenship required.

Bedding in the 5090, then in about a month will disassemble and fully water cool the entire system in a closed loop.

Very cool. What is your country of origin and what do you for work? Also do you guys do the interior design yourselves or do you hire someone?

Originally Finnish, but left the country nearly 20 years ago for London. I used to invest into startups, didn't go super bad.

My early flats and gaming setups from 2004 to 2016 were completely designed by myself. From 2017 onwards we got so busy that we have used architects to do everything, from general layout to sourcing cutlery and scent candles. We do always have a 20-30 page brief about our desired design direction though.

Interesting, any reason why you went with the 96GB RAM? and which kit is that?
I was considering getting a 96GB kit as well just because, but tbh I don't come close to maxing out the 64gb that I currently have.

2x48GB Corsair Vengance DDR5 6000 CL30 ( + 2 light effect Dimms to complete the set )

Looking to put another 96 for 192gb in total as I play with LLM's, which is the reason I went 6000, as my motherboard will support all four slots at that speed.

Just waiting on the Switch 2. I did download the uncompressed 4K Mario Kart World trailer. This looked awesome on my JVC projector. That being said the original Switch looks pretty decent too.

I really like this setup. I have a 5.1 system in a smaller room. Wondering what speakers are these and how you're liking them?
