That guy is a liar.Trump made comments about the tariffs coming down so we will see.
Even Japan told them that negotiating with him is like negotiating with a con man.

It just came out that the treasury secretary's own staff arranged for him to have a meeting across the street, then rushed to the oval office to try and convince Trump of the 90 day pause and he then tweeted it out from his phone. They are that disorganized at the moment. They just met with Japan to discuss trade this week and it went absolutely horribly if you saw the reports, to the point that the US delegation literally couldn't even answer basic questions about what they wanted in the negotiation. They literally don't even know.
That's my personal prediction. It's just a question of math and if we actually get stuck with this completely insane policy. $1000 is an extreme lowball estimate if the tariff is +200%. The only optimistic stance here is assuming that the policies are so bad they will collapse before truly taking effect.
Some things are more important than "meh video games".We probably won't get a reprieve from this shit so long as the president can make these orders, and Navarro has his ear. Powell is the only voice of actual reason right now, with the most reasonable man on the inside being Bessent. Their opinions need to be carrying weight in the White House if there is any hope in keeping prices reasonable.
Electronic goods import were exempted from tariffs. This analyst needs to read some news.
I'd be shocked if PC components didn't go up as well. And in 90 days he'll flip again and say, know what, let's make it double!
Asking 1k for a console is wild af, no more excuses about affordability against PCMR

Relying on cheap, slave labor of China is not sustainable for many reasons. Prices can still be low despite production being moved elsewhere.
Trump is the only president with the balls to do something about the unfair trade practices. This should be applauded, not scoffed at.

Powell is part of an organization that conterfeits currency. Our whole economy is screwed because you cannot pay off debt when your currency is literally debt. He isn't reasonable at all either. He cut rates while inflation was still high last year and now says it's not a good time despite inflation being much lower than when he cut it.We probably won't get a reprieve from this shit so long as the president can make these orders, and Navarro has his ear. Yep, anyone deluding themselves into thinking Trump had a plan is gonna be in for a very rough shock. It just came out that the treasury secretary's own staff arranged for him to have a meeting across the street, then rushed to the oval office to try and convince Trump of the 90 day pause and he then tweeted it out from his phone. Literally every nation is currently in the middle of renegotiating with US on it's terms. That's all ready a huge win in it's self. Not to mention China being isolated. The stock market is temporary. Inflation is low.It would be applauded if it was done the right way. Starting a trade war with the whole world is not the way to do it. You start with China first and get the rest of the world to unite with you against them. When even Japan is calling out Trump there is a serious issue there.
We all agree we need cops but we don't think cops should just beating the crap out of anyone they suspect of a crime. There's things we can agree need to be done but there's a right and wrong way to do it.
That's called negotiating by getting them to the table. China is the only one you can consider being in a trade war. People throw out "trade war" very loosely. Reciprocal tariffs = equal trade war or fairness? He essentially declared a trade war with the entire world.

Honestly, I don't know who advises Orange, but he's doing a terrible job.Trump is the only president with the balls to do something about the unfair trade practices. This should be applauded, not scoffed at.
Yes. Slapping tariffs got most nations to come to the table to renegotiate trade deals with the US on it's terms. Not rocket science.
"Orange man"? People like you are so partisan that it blocks any rational thought.Honestly, I don't know who advises Orange, but he's doing a terrible job.
The paranoid believes that all the countries in the world are taking advantage, when he is the one who has been abusive of the world.
It has harmed agriculture.
It has damaged trust and business dealings.
It does nothing to combat the criminal organization that is the rifle association.
He doesn't give a damn about the citizen's economy.
Nor does it have a campaign against fentanyl, and its statistics are stolen from other countries.
Thanks to him, the economy and the dollar are in decline.
