Already pre-ordered. This one might shoot up my list, but I'm not starting it until my new PC build's completed.

Like a lot of other people, I've been waiting on this one eagerly. An interesting, non-anime aesthetic JRPG(ish) is a rarity these days.

Low price 49€ (Nintendo sells you a Mario Kart for 90€....)

First game from the developer, with limited resources.

Game with +90 on Metacritic

You have to buy it and support it!

Whoaaaa. Awesome reviews! My backlog is growing again. Fucking Witcher 3 taking up all my gaming time. 105 hours in and just 50% done and that's excluding the DLCs! :messenger_expressionless:

I'm basically resigned to knowing I'll never finish everything I have in my collection at this point.

Unless they invent some life extending elixir or some shit.
Thats not a bad place to be in, we all have few solid years of high quality gaming w/o the need to buy new stuff, ofc we do it coz we want to, but we dont really have to, its good to be in a priviledged position with options, i assure u younger ppl(kids/teens) or even many adults in poorer countries dont have that priviledge and gotta play mindlessly some f2p shit for tousands of hours :D

There's no way in hell than a game SO UGLY -ugly as hitting your own father- receiving so good reviews. C'mon!

Hot Shots Idiot GIF

What media qualifies as "anti-woke mob"?

Not that I expect much sense out of this, though.

Whenever the characters are beautiful in games, the Ani-Woke mob will rally for the game.

UPDATE:
Ergo, look at comment #265 in this thread:
I hope GAF will buy this game at launch. As gamers we need to send the message that this is the kind of release we want: Good graphics, good soundtrack, good story, good gameplay, no ugly characters or woke shit, and a reduced price to boot. I'll certainly be doing my part to support this game tomorrow.

Maybe an offtopic question. I'm very tempted of making an impulsive purchase, but last time I did (Wukong) I didn't like the pace of the game (too many bosses and difficulty). Is this mostly a chillax game or am I going to sweat most of the time?

It's turn based so you should be able to do everything at your own pace.

This is how you create a new franchise. Kinda like how Hollow Knight was only $15 when it released and all anyone wants now is Silksong. Compared to the crap we get at $70, this shouldn't be $49.99 before discounts. But Sandfall is confident in their work and is trying to get the game into as many hands as possible. They are creating a new, well regarded, IP. Sony did this with Astro's Playroom as a free PS5 pack-in, and its sequel pretty much dominated the 2024 award season. Gaming is getting too expensive and gamers aren't taking chances on $70 games of new IPs from unknown developers. This is sadly why free to play games and CoD sequels reign supreme.

Regardless, sorry for my rant. Congratulations to Sandfall. I hope this shakes up the industry and Expedition 33 receives numerous accolades. Looking forward to playing it this weekend. Hope it runs well on my PS5 Slim.

I voted 90-94. Think I've been pretty accurate in a lot of my votes recently.

Glad to see I was correct because now I'm over the moon hyped to play.

Bought deluxe on ps5 and preloaded. Let's goooo!

If they had said FF15 or one of the heavy hitters with 10 mil + copies sold, I'd agree.

3.5 - 4 million is not impossible if the game is indeed as good as the reviews say. I pre-ordered this days ago because everything I saw looked extremely promising ever since the game reveal. Happy to see my hype was not unfounded.

As of the middle of March, an estimated 3.5 million?

I could happen imo. We'll see.

I'd love to see it happen, but this being their first release, this is going to need to go viral and give people FOMO. Too much of the general public only buys what's incredibly popular on Twitch or the latest release from the largest developers. Every so often, you get a gem like BG3, but even then that's not Larian's first title.

I'm honestly stunned by those review scores.

Still kinda hosed until I have a new PC, but this is 100% going to be the first thing I play once I get something new put together.

It could happen rather easily. FFXVI sold 3mil in its first week and then dropped off a cliff. Regardless, we'll see.

as bad as FF16 may be doing it still carries FF brand, also, a lot o ppl ( me included ) ll not buy the game since is a game pass day one, dont get me wrong, i m hyped as you both are, but i dont see this new turn based RPG from a "nobody" dev selling more than FF16, its possible ? Yes, but i dont see it.

Bought and preloaded on PS5, got the deluxe edition after seeing the Noisy Pixel review.

There's this saying of "voting with your wallet" that gets thrown around a lot when talking about the state of AAA gaming. Now's the time to "vote with your wallets".
